Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kitchen Aid KMS 105 Mixer The mechanical parts list on this item (300 hp) are identical to the parts list of the KMS155 model which is 325 HP (from everything I could see). This model has the glass measure bowl (which is breakable) and not the stainless steel, but, it is prettier and measureable and visual in glass. I'm usually to practical when it comes to breakable glass and stainless steel. The glass is more expensive to replace, But, is interchangable with the stainless steel bowls. This model also came with the scraper beater. Some pros and cons with this beater. I wish this model also included the standard beater as well, as with some of the other Kitchen aid models do.Stainless steel bowls and standard beaters may be ordered seperately to replace if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mixer for a Great Price I have a heavy duty Kitchen Aid Bowl-Lift Professional Stand Mixer that is extremely heavy and too tall to fit in my appliance cabinet, so I had to store it in the pantry. I wanted a smaller and lighter-weight mixer for frequent use that wouldn't be so cumbersome and this mixer works well, fits in my appliance cabinet and is easy to lift out when needed. While it doesn't have the power of my other mixer, it has more than enough for my needs and so far, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I've always wanted! I've wanted one of these mixers for a long time and always wanted red. I finally broke down and bought it for myself and I love everything about it. I love the glass bowl and the attachments and can't wait to try new ones. I wish I could have one in every color!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had inaccurate description First. This had an inaccurate description. It said in the description that this was a 325 watt. It says on the mixer itself that it is a 300 watt.. I am sure this will be ample for my usage but still it was inaccurate. I tried to cancel this order when I found this out but they said it could not be would have to refuse order or return to store. I decided to keep it. I have only used once to bake a cake. I must have used the wrong beater blade because it left lumps in the mixture. I will try again using a different attachment. Looks good sitting on my counter though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen Aid brand has good products I have used a friend's Kitchen aid mixer in our kindergarten for years as we make the dough for our gingerbread man cookies. After seeing how much easier it is to use this mixer than my ancient hand mixer, I finally decided to treat myself and purchase one for home. As a testimony to the durability of the Kitchen aid product, the one she brings to school belonged to her mother many years ago.

Are the bowls from the differents sizes (4.5 qt & 5 qt) interchangeable?

I now have a 4.5 qt KitchenAid and am thinking of this 5 qt model. If this 5 qt glass bowl breaks, would I be able to use my old 4.5 qt stainless steel bowl?
Asked by: Anne
NO, parts (not attachments) are Model specific. I just purchased this without investigating FIRST. I cannot find anything that fits the KMS105. I have an e mail into Kitchen-Aid, otherwise this item is going back. Also, the ad copy is misleading. 1. States 15 optional attachments, which I figured out ahead that these were NOT included 2. 325W NO it is not. Zoom in on tag, clearly states 300W. Now that I am doing my research, after the fact, the 300W is NOT compatible for multiple bread making, places too much stress on the motor.
