Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed I am glad to read some of the other reviews as it validates my opinion. I have worn Alfred Dunner clothes for years. They seemed to fit me better than most others. Lately, I've had to by-pass them in the store or return them when ordered online because they almost seem like a completely different product. The quality is not as good as it once was. It seems they are skimping on the material as the last few pairs I have tried on have been slightly smaller than those in my closet. I haven't relied on how they fit, but actually measured them against the ones I already have. The length, however, is another story. While I used to get by with just wearing them on the long side, the last few pairs I purchased of a different line had to be taken to the seamstress to be shortened. I realize at just over 5 foot that I'm short, but when they are 6 inches too long I don't see how they qualify as "short". Unlike another reviewer, I hardly ever see petites in my store and wish they would carry more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was very disappointed when receiving them. The major problem with the pants I received had to do with the condition they were in when arriving. They had been packed so carelessly that they were terribly wrinkled. I thought maybe some of the wrinkles would come out after washing them--they did not. I will have to find a steamer to get the wrinkles out--hopefully. I have never had this problem with Alfred Dunner products before, but I had always purchased them at a local store and they were not wrinkled. In fact, they have been my favorite clothing for a long time. I had purchased three tops and one pair of pants of Alfred Dunner recently at J C Penny's and needed a new black pair of pants but they did not have my size at that time. I have worn the current Alfred Dunner pants I own for many years. It is unbelievable how long this pair of pants have held up. I notice the new pants were manufactured at a different place from the previous ones. I cannot say how the new pants will hold up. They feel good on but I cannot wear them like they are. I have always depended on this brand. They fit me better than any other one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really like the fit of these slacks plus the matching blouses that are sometimes available. Only problem is there are too many 'short', not mediums I'd like to see the "short' sizes put in the 'petite' section because when I finally find my size, they are always "short' lengths. This has always been a problem with Penney's Alfred Dunner slacks for over 20 years that I've worn them. The buyers should stock more 'medium' lengths that most of the population wear. I'm also looking for a bright red size 16 slacks. The slacks I ordered that were supposed to be red wasn't really 'red'. I just lost 50# since Dec. 2010 & trying to replace my size 20W's with 16's & you were sold out of them at the stores before I discovered that I was actually 16 and not 16W. I also discovered recently that I have shrunk from 5'6" to 5'4" so I might now fit into 'short' lengths but my problems is I need the length from the waist to crotch. I might still have to get 'medium' lengths & then shorten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST Pull-On Slacks EVER! For years, I have found Alfred Dunner slacks to be the very best value in terms of style, fit, appearance, comfort, and quality. They are truly cut for the plus-sized woman, generously cut through the stomach, hips, and thighs; however, they are never baggy or lose their shape. These pants launder beautifully. If removed from the dryer immediately, they never need ironing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What happened??? I love these pants and have several pairs in all the colors, except gray. I decided to add another pair of gray. I was so disappointed. The fit was way off. I measured the new pair to my others and the waist was off an inch. But they made up for it by adding two inches to the length. I check the label and found my made in USA Alfred Dunner pants, were made in Guatemala. Do they still make them in the USA and how do I know before I order? My others are all USA made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dressy slacks Needed a pair of dressier slacks to wear with my blouses and tops that were on the fancier side. I had jeans and chinos, but the tops needed a dressier type fabric. These look great, feel great and the best part was I did not have to hem them! I ordered the short version of this style and it was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful +size fit AND Looks Sharp I wear size 20W and have big legs, so buying slacks that look nice on me is a challenge. The pants are shown on a skinny model, but the legs looked like they might be straight, so I took a chance. I carefully opened the package when it arrived, thinking that I might have to return them, but I am happy to say I am thrilled with these slacks. They fit wonderfully, with plenty of room to move, yet they look dressy. I am not a clothes horse, so I want all-purpose style that I can wear anyplace I don't want to wear jeans. The material is a medium-weight twill that I will be able to wear year-round in western Washington state. It holds the front crease nicely, yet doesn't wrinkle even after hours in the car. I intend to buy all five colors as soon as I can afford to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these pants! The two pair I bought were very comfortable, fit well and had pockets so I am very pleased with my purchase! They launder very well too!
