I just measured my size 14R AD pants. From front to back, the "bottoms" (where a cuff would be) measure 9 inches. I suppose the circumference of the bottom, then, is 18 inches. This can accommodate a boot easily. I think the designers of this item could shave an inch off the circumference of the bottom and add that inch to the length without damaging the integrity and fit. I hope AD NEVER goes out of business because this is the only pant I will wear. Women's bodies change after 50, and the elastic waist along with the adequate seat and thigh make for a flattering fit. I cannot wait for the "skinny" trend to pass on.
