Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's decent for what it is I got 3 of these (2 84" and 1 48") to hang some sheer privacy drapes from a local JCP. I was able to hang 2 of them since one pack had the wrong brackets (which was returned to the store for a refund--no hassles). These don't look like they were ever meant to hang anything heavy--which is not a problem for my use. I think no matter what the length you'll need to use the included hook at the midpoint to prevent the rod from sagging. Once that is up, even on a 72" span the rod won't sag. The brackets are easy enough to mount, however, mounting the rod to the bracket does take a bit of force and had me worried I'd break it. If you're looking for something inexpensive to hang some drapes/curtains that are incredibly light--like sheer privacy ones, this might be worth looking at as a no-frills functional option that really won't clash with anything. If you're looking for something to hang anything heavier, go with something else. And remember, use the center hook to prevent sagging.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from VERY flimsy Needed a rod for sheer lace summer curtains. This rod is so flimsy you could see it sagging in the middle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Impossible to find! We were so happy to find these. After searching high and low for rods that only came out a little bit from the wall, we found these. My girls like mid-century, the drapes with the sheers underneath. No one makes those rods anymore. The drapes went up and the first sheer rods we found came out too far from the wall and interfered with drawing the drapes. No one had these that didn't extend 1 1/2" to 2". Only these. They are a little too flimsy to stand up well but are working. I would recommend these as there is nothing else out there. We know. We looked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap plastic rod I would never recommend this rod to my worst enemy even. This is the cheapest rod I have ever seen. It is thin plastic. It arrived bent which was a blessing because it would've bent trying to put my light weight curtains on it. At least I was able to return it but didn't get my shipping back even though it was obvious bent during shipping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Curtain rod is too flimsy This curtain rod will not stay straight horizontally when hanging empty. No way can it support a curtain. It was a waste of time and should not be sold by J C Penney's or any other company. Please save your money and don't try it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flimsy material This curtain rod is so flimsy, it would not hold a light curtain. Will be returning and will not buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Curtains for My Bedroom! The cream-colored Shari lace curtains I ordered online from JCP.com are perfect for the two windows in my bedroom. They are very well made, just right for "the look" I wanted, and I know they will last for years because theyare very high quality. My lovely new curtains were also very reasonably priced, especially with the great coupons offered by JCP.com. I don't think I could find prettier curtains anywhere!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect design for my needs I like the rod because it does not detract from the curtain design. Great used with lace curtains. Size for my kitchen window is just right.

What is the actual width of the rod - inside for the sheer

I know the rod extends, but I am looking for how wide is the rod to fit inside sheers - .5" .75", etc. I have sheers that the rod pocket is .75"
