Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had kink in the rod I was concerned because the rod curved and had a kink in it. Fortunately, the person installing it was able to straighten it out and put it up. So far, so good, but I'm worried about whether it will be weaker as a result of the curve & the kink. I also don't like the cord stop; I have to keep moving my hand in order to open or close the drapes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product is plastic and not meteal I can't put patio drapes on a piece of plastic! The supreme drapes I purchased have to be on a metal rod that draws the curtain back and forth!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product great quality; excellent installation instructions. The drawstring attachmnt wasn't the same quality so we didn't install it into the wall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not well made These traverse rods are not as well made as my last ones, and the last ones weren't good, either. I think I'm writing off traverse rods until and unless they come back in style so that the manufacturing standards are improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Penneys carries only a few drapes for travese track. I returned this product via UPS and await my refund Went to local Penney and found out they don't carry a good selection of drapes for traverse rods. Was told by sales clerk that the traverse rods are not very popular any more and therefore the stock and selection was very limited. I refused delivery of the traverse rod and it was returned through UPS. I haven't seen a credit issued to my credit card. The product was what I expected it to be, but the drapes selection was not acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well engineered and easy to install. The product was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. The draperies hang nicely and the hooks move smoothly along the track. Installation does not require a professional as long as you have the needed tools in your shop. Special tools are not required allowing the homeowner to do his/her own installation with tools most homeowners will have in their shop or tool box.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unexpected problems The adjustable rod I received had been changed from the installation instructions packaged with the rod. If it had not been for the excellent phone help I received from the manufacturer (Springs Window Fashions), installation would have been virtually impossible. Once installed, the rod works very well, but with no credit to the instructions packaged with the rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install Easy to install, went up in a jiffy. Good quality except the end string attachments are plastic.

Answer:
Most of the center open Heavy Duty center open traverse rods open from the right. However, there are instructions included that show you how to change it to a left sided pull. Actually it's very easy - just requires a paper clip and a little patience.

I have a sheer curtain along with my drapery. It hangs on a separate rod and does not move. It works very well!

Answer:
I use a drapery curtain with side and top enhancements. The rod is a very study rod as my window is a picture window with two side windows. I use one middle extra brace which seems to be enough. I like the rod although my husband and I had a little trouble figuring out some of the directions as they talked about something that wasn't marked.

Answer:
Curtains with pleats allowing for hooks (which have to be purchased separately) to be slid from the back into the vertical seam of the pleat. I already had a curtain to use so I can't tell you which curtain from JC Penney.

I could use a tension rod but would like easy access to open and close. I don't know if it will work without using the extension bracket. I have 1 1/2 inches to attach to the side.

I don't think the center bracket will work with a bow window, and it is needed for support.
