Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had kink in the rod I was concerned because the rod curved and had a kink in it. Fortunately, the person installing it was able to straighten it out and put it up. So far, so good, but I'm worried about whether it will be weaker as a result of the curve & the kink. I also don't like the cord stop; I have to keep moving my hand in order to open or close the drapes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The rod is good, but packaging was not good. The rod would be great, I think. The first one I ordered was bent when it arrived. I returned it to store and ordered another. The second package had been opened and the brackets to hold rod to wall and the center support were missing. Rod ok but blame the carrier for treatment of packages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is well made. This is a very large traverse rod and is a replacement for the new drape. It works smoothly and efficiently, allowing the drape to close completely eliminating all sunlight. The Penney's installer arrived on time and did a good installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product is plastic and not meteal I can't put patio drapes on a piece of plastic! The supreme drapes I purchased have to be on a metal rod that draws the curtain back and forth!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not well made These traverse rods are not as well made as my last ones, and the last ones weren't good, either. I think I'm writing off traverse rods until and unless they come back in style so that the manufacturing standards are improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well engineered and easy to install. The product was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. The draperies hang nicely and the hooks move smoothly along the track. Installation does not require a professional as long as you have the needed tools in your shop. Special tools are not required allowing the homeowner to do his/her own installation with tools most homeowners will have in their shop or tool box.

Which side is the pull cord on?

I need a left sided pull cord but a middle open traverse rod
Asked by: Mobissa
out of the box it's on the right. I needed it on the left as well. There are instructions to make it left handed and its not very hard to do

what kind of curtains do I use for these rods?

Asked by: sherry
I use a drapery curtain with side and top enhancements. The rod is a very study rod as my window is a picture window with two side windows. I use one middle extra brace which seems to be enough. I like the rod although my husband and I had a little trouble figuring out some of the directions as they talked about something that wasn't marked.

Can this rod be mounted on the inside of a bow window? The bracket shows it mounting in the back but my window is there.

I could use a tension rod but would like easy access to open and close. I don't know if it will work without using the extension bracket. I have 1 1/2 inches to attach to the side.
Asked by: dcola
I don't think the center bracket will work with a bow window, and it is needed for support.
