Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice first duvet This was our first duvet cover, and we're happy with it. We ordered the cream, which is a very light off-white/ivory color. Some cream bedding pieces have much more yellow in them (including our old bedding), but this one does not. It actually looked so white that I had to compare it to a white item to realize that it really was cream. The pattern (checks on one side and swirls on the other) is very light. Unless you get right up on top of the bedding, you don't really see it. This worked for us because we wanted something that appeared like a solid so that it would be easy to change out the colors of accessories. The duvet cover is soft, but have not put it through the rigors of multiple washings yet, so we can't make any real statements about its durability. And though the preceding review mentions having ties in the corners, ours did not have any.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First impression = good I ordered the duvet cover and two shams in the linen color, a bit nervous as to how it translated with color online. The linen is a decent color description for the scroll work pattern - the background is near a beige but with a warm undertone. It's neutral, but not 'blah beige'. I like the print and it's very subtle, really like that it's reversible and each side very different. The overall sheen of the cotton did tone down a tiny bit after washing, but it's still showing as a sateen and it's pretty, like soft candlelight. I think it's much prettier in person than the web photo can show - I am quite pleased. The fabric is soft and drapes very well over the duvet and the edge of the bed, it's soft to the touch and nice - not stiff like some wrinkle free products can be. It's not completely wrinkle free - but it doesn't wrinkle like my last two all cotton ones did, (though it's never been a problem as they tend to relax out) - I dried on very low heat and there was no shrinkage. I like the fabric well enough to order the sheets now. At any rate - this cover seems very good in my first impression, thus I can't speak for durability. I am not crazy about the button closure, but appreciate that the buttons are at least of a good size - the closure is more of an issue on the shams - need smaller pillows for those.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it I bought the comforter, bed skirt, coverlet, standard shams, quilted shams, decorative pillow, and the matching wrinkleguard king bed sheets and pillow cases in mink. I love it! The fabric is very soft and comfy and it is nice quality. The color in the photo does look lighter than it actually is. The actual "mink" color is a dark, rich brown. It looks beautiful in our room and I would recommend it if you are looking for a neutral color to go with your bedroom decor. I also purchased this because of the fabric. We have a dog who likes to sleep with us so we couldn't buy anything polyester in fear his nails would snag and rip the fabric. This set is exactly what I was looking for, and I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful I was a little wary after reading some reviews on this product and the color of mink being "chocolate". I wonder if anyone has actually seen the color of a mink? I still purchased and this bedding is the color of mink (a medium brownish color) and it has a silvery undertone. The comforter I was afraid would be bulky, heavy or stiff. It is so soft and plush. I purchased every piece offered and am completely satisfied. Great value for great luxurious looking bedding. I mixed the mink with paisley coverlet and shams and it looks fantastic together. The paisley does contain a small amount of deep blue within the design. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So soft and pretty! This is my very first duvet cover I have ever owned. I bought it to go with my new down alternative comforter (also purchased from jcp.com) and I could not be happier with my decision. I ordered the "Cream" color duvet cover and 2 shams. The shams are soft and have beautiful detail. The only thing that makes this item less than perfect is that the color of the "Cream" set is not as white as it is in the photo. Instead, it is more of a very light yellow. But it is not too much of a difference. My favorite thing about it is the material. It breathes well and it is SO soft. It keeps us cozy all night long AND it doesn't wrinkle. I haven't washed it yet, but any wrinkles that were visible when I opened the package disappeared right away. I don't foresee myself having a problem with this duvet cover getting wrinkled after washing. They seem to smooth right out when I fluff up the comforter. My fiancé and I love it and the duvet cover fits around my comforter perfectly. Great value for the price. I definitely recommend spending a little extra to get a couple shams to go with the duvet cover. The detail on the shams is so pretty and soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beauty and quality After reading other positive reviews I ordered the comforter, 2 shams in each pattern and the decorative quilted pillow in Linen. I found the Linen to be more gold than I had expected, which wouldn't work with my room, so I returned them and ordered the Mink. Mink turned out to be a beautiful chocolate color. I really love the color, feel and look of these pieces! The comforter is a nice size for a king (comes down to the dust ruffle on all sides), and it has a nice subtle sateen sheen to it that gives it a luxurious look. I love the quilted items also, it looks great to mix and match the patterns. In fact I am thinking of ordering the quilted coverlet to use in the summer. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these items to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds up to the dogs! (well, almost) I bought the whole set in the blue a couple years ago. Before this set, I went thru a few comforters due to my big, shedding dogs and cats. I have two pitbulls and with their brutness and wiry hair, I never thought I would find something that would hold up. This stuff does! It does show some hair, but it washes up nicely. I don't have any problems with snagging or pilling. It just gets softer and softer with each wash. The only reason I put that it almost held up to the dogs is because my big guy has a sucking fetish and sucked a hole in my duvet one day when we forgot to shut the bedroom door. Soooo sad. As much as I'd love to replace it, I think I'll try to sew it first. I bought the bedding in the blue, which doesn't look like the picture (country blue), but more of a grayish, bluish, slightly purplish. It is very pretty. I also bought the sheets in the mink color which doesn't look like the picture either; it is more of a chocolate brown. Also very pretty. The only negative thing I could say is that the king size duvet cover is a little small. It fits my down comforter, so it isn't too much of a problem but I would like it a smidge longer. The coverlet is great in size and warmth though. We live in the Chicago area and use it almost all year until the winter gets too cold. I'm always cold and my husband is always warm and it seems to be perfect for us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feels great, but color on the website is misleadin I ordered the duvet and shams in the Linen color thinking that it would be off white. Instead it is most certainly a gold color. The background is a pale yellow-gold, and the design has more a gray-green tint to it. Luckily, it still looks nice in the bedroom. I like the feel of the fabric too, and it really is wrinkle free. The Steel Blue coverlet and shams are not blue at all, but gray. I have looked at it in various lighting, and it is most definitely not blue. Better pictures and more accurate names on the website would have been helpful.

do i put my comforter inside this?

Do I put my comforter inside it? Or is it a blanket itself? Looking for a cover to put my comforter inside...HELP
Asked by: babygirl
Yes. I buy the white comforters and then use this duvet to protect it. Duvet's are great when you have animals as you just take it off and wash it.

Is the bedskirt velcro attached?

I hope it is because our son's queen mattress is way to heavy and big to lift. Velcro attached bed skirts are wonderful for today's big mattresses. Thanks.
Asked by: janvier30
No, the bedskirt is attached to a sheet that will lay on and over the bottom mattress. It goes between the two mattresses.

Is the charcoal color dark brown or dark gray?

Asked by: beth65
I just purchased this quilt in charcoal, and it is what I would call "graphite" - a very dark grey - no brown undertones.
