Rated 3 out of 5 by Vicky Picture of "Neutral" version online very misleading in color
The quality of the fabric is good, as reported in other reviews I read before ordering, however the color of the "Neutral" version is much darker, with more camel colored instead of cream stripes, and deep shades of blues, browns, and even red too. I was looking for a lighter look, and this definitely isn't.
I wish Penneys carried more bedspreads in the stores, even just a sample of the fabric, so I'd know what to order. Since I need a twin size, there are very few stocked in the stores close to me, and many of the ones I liked in the sales catalog were not stocked in any size-only available online.

I admit that I'm very disappointed in this "bedspread". Frankly, it's just slightly larger than a quilt or comforter. I expect a bedspread to come to the floor or at least close (it's approx 6-8 inches above the bed frame). I expect a bedspread to cover the pillows but it's not big enough. I don't plan on returning it and it will still get used. But next time I order a bedspread I'll take measurements before I order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tazz Love this bedspread!
I was very leary to order this bedspread because of some bad reviews that I read about it. I absolute love it! The colors are great, size is wonderful. Plenty big. Also like the material. No chemical odor what so ever and no strings hanging,no rips or tares!

Rated 2 out of 5 by LagoFamily Shrank like crazy!
Washed and dried per label, but the daybed cover shrank at least four inches in width and six in length. I tried it on the bed before I washed it and if fit perfectly, but now it looks ridiculous-- it reminds me of high-water trousers. I'm stuck with it because I have guests arriving tomorrow and need something to dress the bed with, otherwise I'd return it. I'll fill the gap between the cover and the floor with a hastily improvised bed skirt, but I'm not pleased at all to have to do that, especially considering the price of the daybed cover. The massive shrinkage is very disappointing because the colors are perfect (I bought Jewel) and the cotton is nice and soft. I washed and dried the shams with the cover, yet the shams didn't shrink at all. I had planned on purchasing the coordinating pillows and throw, but certainly won't bother now.

by mistifa crooked stripes - had to exchange
Got on sale so a great value - love the Jewel colors. I'd rather go girly but this was a more neutral design for a guest room. It looks great - except the stripes were sewn crooked (see picture). Since the nearest JCP is a 2 hr drive from my rural location, it's a pain-in-the-neck for me to have to deal with exchanging it. Please, JCP, don't create chores for me - I have enough of them!
One other thing I found odd was that the 'flap' on the corners that I thought was a great feature so the coners lay flat & which appears to lay smoothly in the JCP.com picture, can't on my bed because of the bed frame connecting to the post there (see my photos). I also noticed on another reviewer's photo that it looks like they also had trouble with it. Am I being a doofus & not understanding how that's supposed to work?
The exchange hasn't arrived yet but if it is also crooked, I'll update this review or leave another.

by MizToo Retro Chic Striped QUILT & Accessories (Jewel)
This very popular line of bed covers and accessories is really beautiful! The colors in "Jewel" are outstanding and change dramatically with the light source (natural, incandescent), as can be seen in the two photos. The quilt has a heavy weight and texturing to it which enhances the artisan-like quality, as does the pillow sham also. It feels/looks to be hand-made, and adds class and perfect earthy colors to a room. The back-side is a wonderful earthy/muted red which contrasts nicely when exposed. We are very glad we bought two of these and a pillow sham (another pillow sham would be nice) for our Guest House.
I ordered the 18" oblong decorative pillow, but the material was just a flat cotton print that sort of matches the quilt colors--no textured yarns or cotton fill--so I sent it back.
There is a problem with the size of these quilts--they are way too short to cover a king-size bed and need to be about 2.5 feet longer (and about a foot wider) if you want it to both hang over the end of the bed and have the bed pillows covered at the top. The Full/Queen quilt is really too small. Please note that the bedspreads are the correct sizes--go with those instead of the quilts (plus they have a true queen size, not a full/queen). Had I picked up on the actual measurements, I would have ordered the bedspreads instead. Also, the cotton fill on the quilts makes them heavy, so they crush the warmth out of a bed--probably the bedspreads, again, would be a better choice. I highly recommend these for putting some class and color into a room.
