Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not at all what I expected A few years ago my partner and I purchased down alternative pillows from JCPenney and we were very pleased with them. So when it came time to get new pillows we thought we'd get them again. We looked at the tag to figure that they came from the JCPenney home collection and I knew that they were down alternative. So we ordered what we thought would be the same quality pillow. Not at all. This pillow is hard, it is not soft and squishy like our other pillows or other down or down alternative things. Upon looking at the packaging it says medium for the firmness. Since we ordered online, there was no "testing" for the firmness, and I double checked the listing to see if I could anywhere find where it said I would be getting a medium firm pillow. Upon reading other reviews, though, It seems odd that some people get a soft squishy pillow and some get a hard pillow. So is JCPenney just giving what they have on hand without regards to what they consumer may want? They may want to make separate listings for firm vs soft down alternative pillows. Otherwise you may be surprised with what you get.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This pillow is too hard I purchased the down alternative pillow because I had bought 4 other JC Penney down alternative pillows and was very pleased. I don't know if they changed manufacturers because this last one I purchased was very hard and I'm unable to use it as it gives me a stiff neck. If you like a soft pillow I'm sorry to say stay away from this pillow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as soft as I wanted This pillow is good quality. I was disappointed it was not softer. I sleep on my side and the pillow is just to firm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'm not impressed I am not impressed! A couple years ago I got the product in the store. It was everything I wanted in a pillow! In fact it looked just like the one pictured online. (Larger quilted squares) However the one that was sent to me looked different. it has about double the amount of smaller quilted squares than the one pictured. Its overstuffed and uncomfortable. I shop JCP for many of my bedding and bath needs. Not the comfort and quality I expected from JCP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love these pillows! I have bought many pillows and have been unhappy (down, memory foam, etc).....I found these pillows about 6 years ago and I have 8 of them....they hold up great and do not lose their shape or smash down. I used to buy down pillows, but the feathers irritate my allergies and asthma. These are a great find and I hope they never stop making them. I sleep on two pillows and my neck is always comfy on these. The down alternative blanket is great too!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from dissappointed From the reviews I thought it would be softer....find it very firm. Quality is nice if you want a firm pillow. No way does it fit the description if a ''down-alternative''.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy but not very washable as they claim I really liked this pillow. It is soft but supportive. I am a side sleeper but I usually find pillows made for side position are too high and fluffy for me and I wake up with a sore neck. This pillow is very comfortable however when I tried to wash it, it came out rather lumpy. I suggest just keeping a good cover on it and not putting it in the wash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too shabby... Bought this pillow online which is a blessing and a curse. Good quality and I like the stitching but at this stage of the game the pillows are quite full. Excellent as shams but a little too puff for a side sleeper like myself.
