Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are nice light-weight blankets. I got two of these blankets in the full/queen size. Ordered them on Saturday and they arrived on Tuesday. One is Raffia ( nice taupe color) and the other one is Light Blue ( more like a country or slate blue ) which is what I was wanting. I washed both according to directions and they come out great. There was alot of lint in the dryer vent, but that's to be expected with 100% cotton. They did seem to shrink some, but fit my full size bed well and look nice. They have a very tight weave and look expensive. I needed something cooler than a quilt to put over my top sheet and these work just fine. I hesitated to order after reading some of the negative reviews, but glad I did and knew that JCP would let me return if I didn't like them. I was lucky to get mine on a good sale and also got free shipping. I don't usually do these reviews, but wanted people to know that I was happy with these blankets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This blanket is a good value and met all my expectations I wanted a light weight cotton summer blanket. I ordered the Queen size and I am very happy with it. I washed it before using and it kept it's shape nicely. It is not too warm and the open weave allows it to breathe for comfort. I ordered online and picked it up at the store which was very convenient.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This blanket was just what I was looking for I like the blanket. Its color and weight is perfect. I like that it is cotton and breathes unlike acrylic blankets. I have a tempurpedic mattress and I am often too hot in the night so this blanket helps. The only negative was that it had an odor when I took it out of the plastic package. I washed it and it didn't come completely out so I aired it outside and then it was okay. I was happy to read reviews about size before ordering because I ordered a king size for my queen bed, as per recommendations from other reviews, and I like the fit. It may be a tiny bit big but I like the extra width.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pros & cons Pros: Good weight and good for warm weather, washed well, & soft feel . Color as pictured. Con: the head and end are good length, but sides are skimpy. only about 6" on either side, would like it to reach side rail of bed without there being gap. The flat sheet hangs well below blanket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this blanket This blanket is perfect for the bed. We like a light weight blanket at night and this is just right. I bought my first one a couple of years ago and it is still in perfect shape. I just bought a second one in a different color so I could switch it up a bit.

I wouldn't consider this to be "thermal", just a thick cotton blanket.

Answer:
Yes, very much so! Here in Florida most of the year I would never think of putting anything over it. Although, when winter come to us, I would place a quilt over the top ~ and be snug and warm!

Don't think it IS classified as thermal but even in our cold climate it has kept me sufficiently warm AND in the summer it is light enough to be 'cool' on a warm night.

I used it to replace my old thermal blanket. It is similar, but more tightly woven and doesn't seem to stretch as much as my old thermal blanket.

I have only noticed shedding after washing and drying. I have not noticed anything else getting on the bed after it's been in the dryer. The lint trap is always full after this is in the dryer.

After the first couple washings of the blankets, I did experience excess lint in the dryer, but I feel this is normal. As far as when blanket is in use, I have experienced none. I am pleased with my purchase.

YES, the blanket is plain awful for pilling--blue threads and patches everywhere. And trying to wash it was a disaster. One of the worst products I have ever purchased from JCP.

Answer:
I washed it before putting it on the guest bed and there was a huge amount of lint in the dryer screen but I haven't noticed anymore shedding. Keep in mind it's on the guest bed, so not a lot of use. I really like the weight and the appearance of it now that the extra lint has washed out. Hope that helps.

The weight is fine; however, I was disappointed in the size. It was not nearly as large as my other king size cotton blanket. It barely covers my king size temperpedic bed.

Answer:
I would say it's light weight. I love a cotton blanket and a crisp sheet because I get hot at night. This blanket is perfect. It's heavy enough to make you feel snug without your comforter but light enough to use all year. I hope this helps.

It's not a heavy blanket. I usually need to double it. Also, I had to wash it 3 times to get the lent out of it, otherwise it gets on everything. I purchased two, but returned the other. Mine is navy.
