Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful but masculine- Good quality. I purchased the pewter color and the website color matched the actual product. I love the look of this on my bed. We purchased a king size for our queen sized bed, as I like having extra on the sides and foot. We have had this coverlet for 3 months and so far so good. Our last coverlet had looser stitching and some of it came loose or broke over the years. I am hoping to not have the same issue with this one. Haven't had it long enough to say for sure. We have this on top of our bed with a fleece blanket underneath, then our sheets. It is winter and so far, has been plenty warm with our set up. I was worried that the color would be too dark for our room, as it is on the small size, but it compliments our cherry furniture nicely. I would not have paid the full price for this coverlet, as I don't like to pay full price for anything. I managed to get a very very good price with it being on sale and having additional coupons, so for me, it has been a very good value for the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the royal velvet I always try to buy my bedspreads by Royal Velvet. The quality is great and they machine wash so well even in the king size. With my bed the 110" width is perfect,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, comfortable, lightweight I copied a photo I found on Pinterest to create my dream bedroom. I paired the square quilting of this comforter with another similar-weight comforter with a curvy quilting at the foot of the bed. Including two pillow shams with the comforter makes this a great deal and completed the look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice change from my usual comforter set. Purchased this in the Dark Raisin (eggplant) color. Compared to my usual heavy comforter set this is lightweight. It fit onto my King bed (non cal-king) just as shown in the jc penny online photo for this product. I anticipated it would need a bed skirt. I usually prefer a cotton quilt coverlet, but this is a nice change from the norm. Fabric is polyester and has a matte finish to it, not shiny. Just received it, haven't washed it yet, hoping that it will be easy to care for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right for our needs Was expecting another good experience with a Penney's bed cover as we had purchased a similar one in a light grey for our spring /summer cover. This spread did not disappoint. Due to the way we make our bed (no bed skirt, exposed bed pillows) we went with a king size for a queen size bed. I believe the queen size would have been very adequate. The stitching is solid and overall quality more than met expectations. The light grey one (we got a dark grey this time) washed easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The quality is good which means it will last a long time and still look good. I was happy with my purchase and I also bought another bedspread(a quilt) and I am very happy with it. There were enough different quilt prints so I was able to find one that matched the color of my room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great money spent Affordable luxury – two great words, and when they are combined in one product – shopping happiness. The Royal Velvet quilt may be the nicest thing I have ever purchased for our home. Though it can be used as a beautiful coverlet/quilt, we have chosen to use ours as a blanket, sandwiched in between our flannel sheets and our bed coverlet. I love to fold the top of the satiny smooth edge over the sheet and feel its’ silkiness under my chin. Ummmm. Bye the way, I washed both the quilt and the two lovely pillow covers, and they laundered up wonderfully. No wrinkles and the stitching tight. They seem very well made. My only problem with them – I wish I could afford more! All the colors are stunning (and would look great stacked on my shelf…….. just saying…..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and goes with any decor I love this coverlet! I bought a full/queen and use it as a "bedspread" for a twin bed. I had to elevate the bed a bit because it was a bit too long. Wish they offered it in full only, rather than full/queen, and I probably wouldn't have had this issue. Still, it looks great! Came with two standard shams. I saw that it's described as "modern," but it looks good in my old farm house - I think the stitched squares are what make it fit it with the somewhat French country look I'm trying to achieve. Yes the fabric has a sheen as one reviewer mentioned but it's not shiny as in satin - is more of a muted sheen that makes it feel soft; you really don't even notice the sheen. I ordered the ecru and it's really a nice cream color. I washed and dried it and it held up with no problems.

Is this material slick, shiny?

Asked by: AlnPo
There is a slight shine which is very rich and subtle but not "slick" to the extent that it would easily slide off the bed.

What color is the "steel" color? Is it a shade of blue or gray? Also the "pewter? It looks blue on my computer.

Asked by: Chris
More of a blue/gray type of color trending more towards gray.

How warm is this? My husband gets so warm when we sleep and we end up throwing away heavy comforters. We need something very lightweight. Is this?

Asked by: LjlJ90
I would call it lightweight. We use it more like a bedspread. It's not thick like a comforter.
