Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal! When I bought my mattress from a mattress store I decided not to purchase my bedframe from them at $99.00. After going to a few other stores it seemed $100+ seemed the average price for a basic bedframe, until I discovered this one. Since bedframes aren't anything fancy I went with this one and couldn't be happier. It was easy to assemble and took less than 5 minutes (hooked together and needed a phillips screwdriver to tighten the nuts for the center support beam). The only thing that I was told to get in a bedframe (from the person who sold me my mattress) was to make sure it has the center support beam to prevent boxspring sag, which this bedframe has. And with my JCP Rewards certificate I only paid a fraction of what the mattress store would have charged me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Affordable perhaps, but durable - not so much! If a picture is worth a thousand words, take a look at the attached picture which shows the effect of normal sitting on the corner of our new, JC Penny standard bed frame and experiencing a true product meltdown - to be more precise, one of the legs simply folded under as a 150 lb adult sat down on it. Unfortunately the leg is riveted to the frame and is not replaceable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price I was looking for an inexpensive bed frame that I could take apart if necessary, and that would allow a bit of room for underbed storage. I was a little skeptical about this one based on some of the extremely negative reviews, but it seemed like there were enough rational positive ones to take the chance. This is nothing fancy, but it serves my needs, and I couldn't find anything similar for that price. I'm not sure that the material would stand up to the imaginary wrestling matches I used to conduct on my bed as a kid, but fortunately I've mostly grown past that. It's worth noting that the instructions are particularly sparse. I'm mildly handy and have some decent common sense, so I figured it out easily enough, but it took an extra 15 minutes or so. Fair warning: mine was also missing the screws/bolts required to keep the center piece in place, but I was able to use some that I already had.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap and Poorly Made I don't usually like writing bad reviews, but if it prevents the sale of this product to someone else, I'll do it. This bed frame broke the very first time I went to sleep in it. It is so easy to put together, but this convenience comes at the price of strength. The bar going across width-wise at the head of the bed snapped the minute I put my head down. Just do not buy this. I will be returning it as soon as I have time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Missing parts, wobbly After reading the other reviews I should not have ordered this but went ahead against my better judgment because the price was good. Well, as many others noted, my Queen size frame arrived with no bolts/screws/washers that were needed to affix the cross-bar. I'm sure I could have used without the cross-bar but I really wanted that extra support for my heavy mattress so had to make a trip to the store to buy the items needed - what a hassle. As another reviewer noted, my standard Queen mattress hangs a good 8-9 inches off the end of the frame, which supposedly is sized for a Queen. I hope this doesn't cause long-term issues with the mattress. Overall, the frame is very wobbly. We'll see how long it lasts. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is cheap and awful I had a bad experience with this product. The middle piece did not come with my first shipment, and my bed buckled and collasped. So I had to have them exchange it. The second shipment came and still no middle piece... turns out, the full and twin bed frame does not even come with the middle piece. So I had to return this one. If you have an EXTREMELY LIGHT WEIGHT MATTRESS, this one might be for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this frame I have recently bought 2 queen size beds from Penneys, the first one about 7 months ago and the second 2 weeks ago. On BOTH occasions Penneys delivered defective frames which had obviously been previously returned as damaged as some of the parts on both frames had been assembled. Both frames were grossly out of square. In addition the one delivered a few days ago had a badly bent headboard bracket. This is no way to do business. This is just a cheap poorly constructed frame. Spend the extra dollars and get the nicer frame. Hopefully it is manufactured by a different Chinese company.

Will this frame work for a split queen boxspring and marress?

Asked by: Grandma
this bed frame works great for our queen mattress and box spring but I am not sure that there is enough support through the middle for a split box spring and mattress. I would probably not recommend unless you know someone who has actually used it for split mattress/box spring.
