Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pictures are deceiving I wanted to lighten up my bedroom look with white bedskirts and white throw pillows. This helps, but the bedskirts were disappointing. It appeared to have very crisp, well defined folds in the pleats. This was not the case. It arrived very wrinkled and took a great deal of ironing and effort to come close to the picture. The material was thinner than expected and you can see shadows through them, such as the bed legs and bed frame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Guest room bedskirt This bedskirt is for a guest room. I would not buy this for my own master bedroom. It does need to be ironed. And the creases on the corners and in the center need to be ironed so that they lie together and not split apart . My preference would be that the fabric on a bedskirt would be more smooth and silky and have a bit of a shine. But it is fine for the guestroom. It looks quite nice under the white duvet that I have on the bed. The white goes together with the duvet even though the duvet and the bedskirt are not by the same manufacturer. It was not difficult for me to put it on the queen bed all by myself.I like the box pleat once it is ironed because I do not like ruffles.. It is classic looking and contemporary and I do like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality bedskirt!! love it! I searched and searched for a basic 14" bedskirt at many locations. I bought 3 at a major bath and bedding retailer we all know and each had a flaw. I really wanted the Royal Velvet one on sale at JCP but it was out of stock so I bought this one and am so pleased. I recommend using a little spray-on starch and ironing it to give it a crisp look. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. Used it with my Ralph Lauren comforter and it looks great. The weight is good and it is ivory and doesn't show through like a lot of the lighter colored bedskirts do. Not too lightweight. Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design flaw This bedskirt is made pretty well, with durable fabric. My issue with it is that corner cuts were not made so the tailoring in the bottom corners of the bed have to be scrunched up. This is replacing a cheaper version from another store and even it had slits so that the tailoring could lay flat. Design flaw. We will keep and maybe I will get crafty and fix on my own, however, you shouldn't have to work on something after you buy it. Put in an opening!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No split corners A very nice bedskirt but if you need split corners for a foot board this won't work. Fortunately the bed I purchased it for doesn't have a foot board and it fits very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Third time's a charm! I purchased two other bedskirts before I bought this JCP one. The first two were poor quality, very thin fabric. This one is a good weight fabric, ironed well, and stays in place under the mattress. There are good color options as well, and the bedskirt was very affordable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bedskirt The bedskirt is white. The fabric is very sturdy. The box pleats look crisp. The bedskirt looks very nice with my luxury quilt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit! This bed skirt is well tailored and fit perfect. Washes well, no fading and came out of the dryer wrinkle free.

How thick is the fabric on this bed shirt? Some skirts I've had are very thin and flimsy. Looking for a good, stiff, heavy fabric.

Answer:
I was rather pleased at the quality of the material in this bedskirt. I wouldn't say it is flimsy at all.

Answer:
The fabric on the skirt is good enough quality. The fabric under the mattress was of better quality than I expected after reading other comments about the flimsiness of that part. However, I noticed that when I was trying to shift the fabric around under the mattress that the fabrics began separating at the seam. So you should not pull too hard to avoid that. It leaves a question in my mind how it will stand up in the washing machine. I haven't tried that yet.

1) Is it thick or thin (please be specific-just the facts). I am looking for NOT THIN.
2) I am looking for IVORY- is there any transparency to the lighter-shaded bedskirt? I am looking for NOT SEE THROUGH/NO TRANSPARENCY.
3) Is it Matte? I am looking for NO SHEEN/NO SHINE.

Answer:
1) It seems like a good quality material, neither thick or thin. More of a medium weight.

2) It is ivory, there is some transparency. If you want no see through, I think you would be disappointed.

3) It is matte - no shine.

Answer:
It is fairly thick, not like a bedsheet material. A bit stiff as if starched. Holds shape well. I bought white. Not see through. I have boxes under the bed. No shine. Only complaint is that corner pleats are not split so if you have a footboard you'll need to cut the corner pleat to go over the frame. I cut them and used the iron on fabric adhesive to hem the edge.
