Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!! We have many pets, so we have pet accidents, vomit, fecal, urine. I have used pet odor eleminators and rented rug doctors even had professionals clean the carpets. This machine picked up much more than I thought was in the carpets. We vacummed before and the amount of hair this machine picked up was both amazing and disgusting. Worked great on our area rug also. We did have to stop multiple times to clean out the pet hair because it stopped suctioning, but with the amount of hair it couldn't suction. We just used the sample shampoo that came with it, the professional deep clean, the carpets are cleaner, brighter and softer then ever before. It has a very nice scent to it. I read the other reviews about it leaving carpets wet, not ours. Other reviews said it stopped suctioning, yes it did but as I said the amount of hair it picked up clogged everything. The machine is huge but very easy to manuever. I am very pleased and impressed with it. I just ordered more shampoos to try.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy this again I bought this because I had a senior cat and the carpet was stained from throwup. When the senior cat passed, we replaced the carpet with a very expensive version that was supposed to "impossible" to stain. Had the carpet 3 days when the new kitty threwup in the middle of the living room and starting peeing on the new carpet. I've tried 5 kinds of cleaning solutions, including several Bissell products and I still have carpet stains and odors. So much for the stain-proof carpet and the great machine/products. As to the cleaning machine, the carpet remains quite wet despite going over it several times and I've had to run fans for up to 3 days before it feels dry. Carpet fibers feel tacky, since there is no way to "rinse" the detergent out, unless you go over it a second time with just plain water. To top it off, the hose tore right at the handle where you attach hand tools, as another reviewer noted, and now I can't use the hand tools. It was only about 6 mo old when it tore. I wish I had replaced my carpet with a hard floor and/or bought a Hoover cleaner. I had much better luck with one of those that I had borrowed! Please advise regarding replacement of the hose, if possible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap hose After purchasing my first carpet cleaner, I was very happy with this purchase. The only complaint I have is that after a week the hose ripped right at end where you put the attachment. So I haven't been able to use the hose. I've looked online, everywhere to find a replacement that wasn't 60. No luck yet. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for a hose after it had only been used for a week! But when my dog decided to have a peeing frenzy inside my house, this machine did stand to the blacklight test I did on my carpets after I cleaned it. Still love my Bissell products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from satisfied! This machine was a gift from my in-laws back in april 2012 so I've had it for over a year.,. I use it quite often because my whole house is carpet and i own three dogs. This machine is pretty awesome to clean carpets the heater is not that hot... my tap water is hotter than the heater. It is a hassle to clean the machine it self you have to pretty much take it apart to get it clean nicely. I hate that the solution for this machine is pricey... well a bit much to spend at once, but if you divide it by the amount of time you deep clean the carpet it really comes out really cheap. Overall I am extremely happy with this machine the only thing is that recently i went to use the lift off part of the machine and noticed it was torn... I don't use that part that often so that's how I know it was not by misuse, I don't know if that was only my machine or if it happens often. It cleans my carpets beautifully and they end up very soft... oh and the cord is long.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wet Carpets I Had always used Hoover Carpet Cleaners in the past. This new machine caught my eye while Christmas shopping. My friend was always borrowing my Hoover Carpet Cleaner so I decided to give it to him and buy The New Bissell Carpet Cleaner The new Bissell has small tanks and the chemical tank doesn't last very long. My biggest complaint is the suction power. This machine does not extract the water from the carpets. After several times going over the carpets to try and get most of the water out , I ended up placing fans in the room to help dry the carpet. That was the first time I used My New Bissell Carpet machine and I believe it might be the last. The suction power is half of what my Hoover had. I guess this proves the old saying if something works why get something different. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. I am sure that I will be going back to the Hoover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Machine! Worth every penny! I got an amazing amount of use out of my previous Bissell Cleaning machine and so when it was time to get a new one, there was no question that I would get another Bissell and I was not disappointed. I have 4 boys, a husband that forgets to take off his shoes alot and 2 dogs... my carpets get dirty. A lot. This new Bissell is amazing. Not only does it do a fantastic job on dirt and every day grime build up, we got a new puppy a couple weeks after getting the machine and 'accident' cleanups were a snap with being able to detach the unit and use it as a 'hand held' unit. I love that that cleaning solution/water is separate than the dirty water and both containers are so easy to clean. So much better than the internal bladder system on the previous version. I would recommend this unit to anyone that wants a good quality product. In fact, I have recommend it to many people already.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total Lemon, went from clean carpet to a wet carpet with dirt spots My mother in law had a Bissell Deep Cleaner that we borrowed once every few months. That machine worked well, so much so that we saved and saved to get one of our own. We even sprung for the "pet" version. When we went to clean our carpets yesterday, it sprayed and scrubbed fine, but barely pulled up any of the dirty water out of the carpet. As a result it left these dark spots where the dirty water settled and left the carpets soaking wet. I read all the troubleshooting tips. I reseated the dirty water tank took out the filters and reset the suction diverter and after several hours of messing with the darn machine we just got the same result. It is particularly annoying because we went to clean our carpets the day before we had out of town visitors and instead wound up with a carpet full of spots and an empty dirty water tank on the Bissell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleans well, but could use some improvements I had a 15 year old Bissell Pro Heat Plus that still works fine and I gave it to my brother when I purchased this Lift Off Deluxe. The new Lift Off cleans great but it could use some improvements. There is no indication of when the water/cleaning solution is out. It's a little hard to see when it's that low while it's in use so an indication would be nice. My old one had an indicator. Also, I cannot see the water being suckud up when in upright mode. You cannot see the front of the machine while you are using it. That is a disign issue with the Lift Off because it's really two different units. But it would just be nice if you could see that. This last item is more of a suggestion than a complaint. I would rather see you sell this with the turbo brush instead of the pet stain eraser. The turbo brush works much better. I kept this tool from my last machine and noticed that you can still purchase it seperatly. Other than those issues it cleans great.
