Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Coffee Pot I love this coffee pot but I recently had the filter basket break on me and there is no way to replace the part. Sad now that I have to order a new coffee maker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE This is the worst maker I ever had in my life. I bought this two months ago and from the very first day there were issues. The coffee grounds some how kept getting pushed in with the water. It would only brew half a pot and if you wanted a whole pot you had to hold the carafe manually. After about a week the hot water some how caused the carafe to break so I had to purchase another one of these. Then the best part....the coffee some how started coming out from under neath the whole maker itself. This kept happening once the pot brewed about a half of carafe. Finally today I woke up to a maker that was completely fried because this time the coffee got all over the maker and fried the inside. I would have never expected this from Black and Decker. To top it off....I never signed up for the warranty because I thought " ehhhh what could go wrong with a coffee maker". With my next NON Black and Decker pot I will never make that mistake again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Waste Your Money Initially I liked this product. The automatic brew timer is a great option, I like the automatic shutoff too, and the controls are simple to use. The problem comes in when you actually try to have a cup of coffee. The carafe that comes with this model is by far the worst design I have ever seen. The design for the pour spout is laughable, and you end up spilling almost as much as you pour into your cup. I've started pouring mine over the sink; it's really that bad. I will purchasing a new carafe for my maker, but if I still had the box I would simply take it back. Don't waste your money on this one. Black & Decker should probably do some testing next time instead of just pushing product out to the customer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Carafe makes a mess every time I pour coffee. I like everything about this coffeemaker from the visual design to the controls to the taste of the coffee it brews, except the fact that it makes a huge mess all over the counter when you pour. It matters not whether you pour slowly or quickly, with the lid all the way down or up, it makes a dripping mess when pouring. Never had this problem with any other coffeemaker and I've been brewing and drinking coffee for about 30 years. I probably wouldn't have taken the time to seek out and review this product if it hadn't been marketed with the "perfect pour carafe" phrase. I've never been infuriated by a product like this one. Don't get me wrong, the carafe feels good in your hand it's just the inevitable mess. If you buy this product keep a towel to hold underneath while pouring or to provide an absorbent runway for the mess this carafe will make when you're seeking that first cup of coffee in the morning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept, Terrible Execution I loved this coffee maker, until I actually tried to use it. The brew timer is a great option, I like the automatic shutoff, and the controls are simple and easy to use. The problem is when you actually try to have a cup of coffee. The carafe that comes with this model is by far the worst design I have ever seen. You end up spilling almost as much as you pour into your cup. I've started pouring it over the sink just so I don't spill it all over my counters or the floor. I'm breaking down and getting a new carafe, but if I still had the box I would take this model back. Black & Decker should probably do some testing with their products next time instead of just rolling it out and letting the public deal with the shortcomings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great machine but can't pour without dripping We had a previous Black and Decker model for several years and the burner finally stopped. We purchased this model because of our experience with the last one but we are disappointed with this one. You can't pour a cup from the carafe without having an almost equal amount of coffee stream down the side of the carafe. You can try to pour fast, pour slow, tip high, barely tip... it doesn't matter. You end up with coffee all over the counter, down the side of the cup and unless you take the time to get towels to wipe off the carafe (and time is not what we have going out the door to drop off for school and get to work on time) , the burner and the bottom of the carafe become charred. We're not sure how the design could have changed to this or not have been tested to discover what we have.It will make us change to a different brand though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific brewer In the past 39 years, my wife and I have had just about every brand of coffee maker and this one is by far the best. The carafe definitely does not drip when pouring and is probably the largest 12 cup capacity on the market. The temperature setting is just right so it doesn't have that scalding smell or taste. The design is sleek and clean with easy time settings. You use the basic flat-bottom filters, which are the least expensive. Brewing is fast. The price is low when compared to other brands, especially for its quality, features, and performance.
