Rated 2 out of 5 by MG03 Blackout Liner
This liner set was difficult to add to the back of my curtains using the hooks that came with the package. My husband and I had a very hard time trying to hang the curtains on the rod because the loops on the liner would not stay on the hooks. Also, the liner was too heavy and pulled on my curtain panels. We decided to return the liners and purchase blackout curtains. I had read the reviews and was aware that the width was short and didn't think it would be a problem, but after seeing them on the rod, it would have been a problem had we decided to keep them. Jcp updated the info on this product to show that the width stated is the combined width of both pairs, so this should help buyers determine if the width will work for them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4HonestAdvertising Great product *poorly* described.
As one other reviewer mentioned, Shopper be Aware: the package you'll receive will contain two panels and together the width of the two panels will measure 60 inches. None of the advertising here on jcp.com will tell you this, nor will the packaging when your order arrives in a timely fashion. I was *VERY* disappointed to discover this and it IS misleading advertising that runs the ragged edge of *false* advertising.
Now the other side of this coin, I am ordering another pair of 30X60 blackout liner window panels because, gosh darn it, they work. Once I have enough of these wonderful curtain liners, I will be adding velcro strips to the edge of the window frame, which will block even more light AND sound.

I purchased these for a picture window in my master bedroom. The curtains are made for a window in the form of a perfect box, not a window. They are too narrow and short for the standard drape. The installation is shown to be sooo easy, but it is not. Moving the curtains from the flat surface to attach the hooks to the window to hang up, results in half of the hooks coming undone from the loops. I wound up having to take pliers and closing the hooks. My advice is to add another rod to hang these, but for my application, I could not. The quality is okay, but the application is poor.

Needed blackout liner for my bedroom and the associate at the JCPenney store was very helpful in pointing me toward the website. They did not have in stock. They are great for keeping the light out, but upon hanging, I noticed several places where the backing had pulled apart leaving narrow strips where light can filter through. Once my curtains were placed over them this has not been a problem. I really like the velcro on the edge of the liners to help keep them closed.
I would buy them again, but for the price, I would hope that the quality was a little better.

I am recently retired and the sun coming in the west facing window in the PM was blinding me! I have migraines and light is a huge trigger. The only thing I don't care for is the "winkled" appearance the blackout curtains have from the outside when they are closed. We put them on a separate curtain rod so they can be pulled open when not in use. I have always loved JCP. Used to order everything my family used from JCP. I ordered by phone so often I knew my JCP account number by heart!!! Thank you.....keep up the good work!

I am not a very talented seamstress so this was the perfect item for me. The fabric I chose for my office draperies, is very light weight and has a white background. I worried how I would line them, and then I ran across this wonderful product. I am saving it for a winter project, but now I know that I have all the items to work with to get the job done. I also am allergic to draperies with rubber backings so that was an added plus.

I purchased separate light weight curtain rods and slid them in the pockets hung them and the room was DARK! FINALLY got a good night sleep! :) They are not very wide so check your measurements. They do an excellent job at blocking out the light and are heavier that the other ones we looked at. I like that I can hang them separate and just remove the extra rod when I want to brighten the room a little bit pricey but worth it

I purchased blackout liners at another store and paired them WITH blackout curtains - it was mediocre at best. I just got home with these liners and its so VERY dark in my room! These even have Velcro so the panels can be "attached" for added protection!
My husband will NOT be bothered by the summer sun while he sleeps during the day! I can't wait for the weekend so I can sleep in too.
