Rated 1 out of 5 by from Non-stick is flaking off, metal is corroding This set was my big treat to myself, and knowing Calphalon's quality, I expected them to pretty much last forever with proper care. It's now been 6 years since I purchased the set, and in the pieces I use most, the non-stick coating is flaking off. I also noticed today that the metal fasteners that show on the inside of the pots, where the handles connect, are corroding and slowly disappearing while degrading the non-stick coating nearby. And since most of my meals come out of a bag or the microwave, it's not like I'm using this cookware nearly as much as the average person might. What a waste. I could have bought a much cheaper set and replaced it with a new one every year or two for the same amount of money or less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has the features make cooking easier. This set of cookware makes cooking easier because of several great features. The clear lids enable me to see how things are cooking without having to remove the lid. The lids are designed to allow the food to be easily drained. The nonstick surface heats evenly and is easy to clean. The handles on the skillets and pots do not conduct heat. It is necessary to use a pot holder to remove the lid. I was able to purchase them when they were on sale, with adding rewards from the rewards program and free delivery to my home I consider them of great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the only pans I ever buy! I started buying Calpahlon Classic in 2010 and swear by them. Food cooks more even and perfectly in these pans than any other I have ever had. These are very heavy and sturdy pans. You definitely want to use only silicon utensils so keep that in mind while purchasing. I recommend and gift these pans all the time. This set is the best I have bought, It has so many included. I have been using the same 2 pans since 2010 and still going strong, just needed a bigger variety!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Cookware! I purchased this as a wedding shower gift for my son and daughter-in-law. They had it on their registry from another retailer. The Calaphon brand is well known for quality but also for the expected expense for that quality. I purchased mine from JCPenney and saved over $100 dollars with the sale and coupon available that weekend! Thanks JCPenney for always providing great value to your customers! They were thrilled to get their cookware knowing it was a higher priced item and might not get purchased, we were able to come thru!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful pans worth investing in. I have never before cooked with such amazing cookware. Nothing sticks to them, and they're super easy to clean. Definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Calphalon Classic 14-pc Cookware Set This set has all the size saucepans we like. Most sets only have two saucepans. We were surprised to find they are designed to drain liquid off or to pour from. Couldn't rate durability because we've only had them two weeks. To date they have surpassed expectations as to quality and value. They clean so easily. Not one thing has stuck so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good As of 8/24/16 I have only used the pans for 4 days. So far I really like them. The only down fall I see is that the handles on the lids get hot. They need to coat them with something heat resistant.

Answer:
This cookware is safe for glass stove tops. I have a glass stove top. The bottoms of the pots and pans are flat and set well on the stove top.

Answer:
They do have flat bottoms. I'm not positive but I think it would be safe for glass stove tops. I love the pans but watch the lid handles, they get hot.

Answer:
I use my set over gas, so this may not be a particularly helpful answer, but I do know Circulon Hard-Anodized cookware is highly recommended for glass cooktops. Personally, I don't think there can be much difference
between Calphalon and Circulon, but you might want to compare them to see why Circulon might have an edge. I am a huge Calphalon fan and have a cookware set in our year-round home and vacation home.

I have a set of Cook's anodized cookware and must use potholders to remove the lids when cooking because the handles are too hot to touch. This is the reason I'm replacing it.
