Rated 4 out of 5 by GirlLovesShoes Great Shoe But Sizing Might Need Adjusting
I LOVE Eastland shoes! I had a pair of loafers years ago which I wore for many years - very long lasting product. When I needed to replace that loafer, I ordered this one. I ordered 2 pair - one black and one navy. After reading the previous reviews, I wasn't sure what size to order - I normally order a 7M in a loafer. I ordered the black pair in a 7N and ordered the navy pair in a 7M. Upon receipt, the navy pair did not appear navy - it was more the color of a bluish gray. Also, the navy pair was slightly wide at the heel and the top as I took a step. I returned this pair.
I did keep the black pair. Felt great in length and at the heel. It is slightly snug around the toe area, but I kept them assuming that as the leather "broke in" it will loosen a bit. Even being slight snug, it isn't painful, just slightly uncomfortable after wearing them most of the day at work.
Even though I kept the product, I don't feel that the product is the same quality as the ones I had for so many years and will most likely not last as long as the previous ones I had. The leather of these are slight more shiny than the leather of my previous ones and appear to have more glue and less actual stitching than the previous ones.

I have waited many years to find another pair of these shoes.
My first pair I wore out and had them resoled and heeled and stitched.

I have purchased Eastland shoes before, but none were as cheap appearing as these. The shoe has the look and feel of "pleather". Even water repellant did not absorb. Additionally, the innersole padding only covers 1/2 on the sole, and there is virtually no arch support. The shoe rubbed blisters within 1 hour, and I felt like the shoe design was making me walk awkwardly, with the toes on one foot pointing unnaturally outward.
I am very displeased with this purchase, and to make it worse, I had purchased 2 pairs from the online catalog....1 pair arrived in a plain brown box, with white paper stuffed in the shoes, while the other pair arrived in an Eastland box, complete with plastic inserts in the shoes to support the shape.

Purchased for my daughter, she was delighted to receive the loafers, looked good and they looked like leather, but could be faux.,

It's amazing how difficult it is to find a Penny Loafer type shoe that is actually leather for this price! It is soft and comfortable with the first wearing. There is a problem with the inside of the shoe when wearing sheer socks; it has some type of inset that ends at the top of your foot which didn't make any sense to me, why they would stop with the soft gel inset but they did. I am going to wear these for a bit and if the inside issue calms down I will buy a second color. Most Penny Loafer shoes I have looked at over the last few years were so stiff and uncomfortable I would not purchase but this shoe is very soft and comfortable but will give you the support of a real shoe!

I have worn this product since college and I am now 72 years olc. They are comfortable and people recognize them even now. When one pair wears out, I order another pair. I currently have a black pair and a cordovan pair.

I have had Eastland Penney Loafers for a long time.
I have worn them out.
These Penney Loafers are not leather.
They are cheap looking.
My old loafers are the true leather.
