Rated 5 out of 5 by from Privacy and Style This is our second time ordering the black out cellular shades. We like them very much. They provide privacy and work well to prevent the sunlight from entering the room while sleeping. They also pull up easily to let the sunlight into the room during the day without cords getting in the way. The shades are also durable yet lightweight. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! I ordered these blinds to replace more expensive blackout blinds. These were a better value for my money, and are just as effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, but life span is too short When I moved into a new house 4 years ago, I bought several of these cordless shades. I have loved them except that the two I use the most... in my bedroom....have had to be replaced. I think that they should be made better if this is the usual life expectancy. There is a way to recalibrate them, which I learned on-line, but after a few weeks this was no longer possible. They just wouldn't go up anymore. Disappointing, but no products seem to last as long as they used to it seems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incorrect description The product description states: "Blind received will be ½" shorter to account for deduction of end caps. If exact size is needed, order a blind ½" larger." My window are 26.5 inches in width so I ordered 27 inches as instructed and they came at 27 inches. Now will have to return them as they are too big for an inside mount and I have to pay the shipping costs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look Great I've had these shades only 1 week, but it's been a cold week in the north east and they are keeping the cold out. Room darkening works well too. Anxious for them to keep out the sun's heat this summer. Since I've had them only 1 week, I can't answer the durability question. They look terrific too - am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow what great blinds! I had a handyman hang mine tonight so I can't speak to the ease of installing. They are gorgeous, very expensive looking IMOP. I got them in bright white & they look great with my shades of white painted bedroom. They go up & down so easily! have custom white curtains coming which I think will really add a nice touch to one double large window in my master. This was definitely another great window treatment purchase from Penny's!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I purchased four of these cellular blinds in a beige shade for use on windows at a beach home. They do an excellent job of darkening a room even with significant light coming from outside. They had to be outside mounted, however, so there is still a strip of light on the sides. One of the four was missing its middle mounting bracket, but the two on the end seem sufficient to keep it in place. The installation instructions were fairly easy to follow. I love the cord-free ability to raise and lower them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from may want to air it out for a day after opening the package not bad for the price, but you may want to air it out for a day after opening the package. It smells pretty bad, probably the fabric out-gassing, but smell went away after a day outside. I had to trim mine to fit in the window opening I had, not to hard to cut with a small hacksaw and a sharp boxcutter knife for the fabric. had to trim the end pieces to fit back in after cutting, not much room to cut the bottom where the return spring is located. i cut about 1/4 inch off each end.

Measuring 27x36

my windows for inside mount are 27 1/2 ". What size should I order. I think the 27 might be too small from the other answers posted here, but I believe the 29 will be too big ? Any suggestions ?
Asked by: RhondaJ
My windows are 27". I ordered 27". They are fine but these shades actually run almost a half inch narrower.

I only have a depth of 1 1/4 inches. Can I still mount these inside knowing that they won't be flush?

Asked by: nicole
You could but they are not going to look right and when you hank=g them on the out side I don't like the look either.

windows are 33.5, I need 6. Do I order a 32 or a 34 or none.

Asked by: pamela
I would find another shade. The measurements are exact. If your frame is too narrow, they will NOT fit. Unless you have a good overlap in the frame, you won't like the fit to be too small.

I need 36by48

Can I use 36by64 since it looks like it can't be shorten. Because 35by48 will have gap for light to enter.
Asked by: Gigi
Yes. I had to on several windows and it looks just fine.
