Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS ONE!!! I love coffee and have had many coffeemakers over the years, this one is the best! Solid and well designed. Hot coffee or hot tea? Either or both. Water works for cooking too, need hot water? Push the button. Want instant oatmeal or other hot cereal for breakfast, push the button. Hot cocoa mix? You got it! Easy and makes GREAT coffee too. I have noticed the coffee to be smoother and more refined in taste. I LOVE the reusable filter, no paper, and no sludge or grounds in the pot. Will recommend and buy again and again. Best on the market in my opinion. Out-performs Bunn, Krupps, and Zojirushi. Penney's $40 cheaper than other big brand dept stores... same product, no coupon needed here. The program button works like a dream. Hot coffee when you wake up or while you get ready is often a necessity. You can program the hotplate to go off as soon as the brew cycle is over. Just set it to zero (00:00). I do not like the taste of over-warmed coffee and that function is a MUST for me. Looks great, easy to set programs, easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from had high hopes Our old coffee maker had given up the ghost. We have gone through quiet a number in our time and wanted a quality brand. We had not bought a Cuisinart before, and will not be purchasing one again. It looks beautiful and the added feature of the hot water reserve would be perfect for my morning oat meal. My husband set it up and poured water into the reserve. It immediately started to pour the water all over the floor. After cleaning up 12 cups of water, my husband checked it over, made sure everything was as it was supposed to be and tried filling it again, this time over the sink. Again, a sieve. I called the 1-800 number for Cuisinart Customer Service. I was told they would send a replacement out however they needed the broken unit returned and I would have to pay the shipping and handling. On a product of theirs that DOES NOT WORK. I will be returning their defective product to jcpenny's and buying another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds Expectations This coffeemaker and hot water dispenser is just what I was looking for. The heating pad temperature control allows me to keep the coffee piping hot but not burnt. Being able to adjust the auto shutoff from 2 to 4 hours allows me to finish the pot before it's cold (and the last cup tastes as good as the first). The hot water dispenser is perfect for my daughter to mix her chai tea latte to take with her to school in the morning, and I no longer have an excuse to not eat hot instant oatmeal for breakfast in the morning. Late night cup of tea or one of the new high quality instant coffees? No problem. Plus, the appliance is very attractive on the counter. The only problem (which really isn't a problem at all) is the bright blue lights hurt my eyes when I go into a dark kitchen. I'll live with it. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier I had been looking to replace our coffee pot and decided to give this one a try based on all of the positive reviews. It was out of stock and I had to wait a short time to receive it but it was well worth the wait. I am very pleased with the whole product and some of the reasons for that are,: 1. The coffee stays hot-the adjustable temp selection for the hot plate is great 2. The coffee pot beeps when it is done brewing and when it is shutting off 3. I don't know what they did but Cuisinart made a coffee pot that does not drip. From the first cup to the last, I no longer have to stand over the kitchen sink to pour. 4 The lid on the pot is great. No more hinged lid. I had to replace my carafe twice for broken tabs on the pot. This one snaps on and fits snuggly. Hope it lasts. 5. I have used the hot water dispenser a few times now and it is really nice for that one cup of tea or hot chocolate. I highly recommend this product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, makes good coffee plus other features makes it a winner We purchased this Cuisinart 12 cup coffeemaker with the additional hot water feature since we also like to have hot chocolate, tea, and the occasional 3 minute soup in-a-cup. This unit does not disappoint in any way. The beverages are always hot, the timer is easy to program, and the hot water feature is very convenient. We turn the hot water off when not in use to save some electricity as it heats up quickly so there is no need to leave it on all the time. This is a coffeemaker that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good coffeemaker and who also wants the convenience of not having to boil a pot of water every time they want to have a hot beverage other than coffee or a cup of 'instant' soup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes great coffee I have just started using this machine. I have not used the hot water feature but will I am sure. It was a little taller than I imagined but still fits under my cabinet. I have to pull it out to use it. The tank that the water goes into is a little hard to pour the water into.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coffee Love this coffee pot. I bought it because my mom uses hot water tor instant coffee. It works great and meets both of our needs. I also like the fact that it has the features allowing me to set the pot for maximum brewing when I only want 1-4 cups and for setting the carafe temperature. I like my coffee steaming hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is terrific. Just ordered 3rd as a gift. I've never enjoyed a coffee maker as much as this one. It's so easy to program and with three heat settings, I'm in control of the coffee temperature. I like my coffee HOT and it delivers. After burning down several teakettles and pots of hot water, the hot water system lets me have a worry-free, hot cup of tea, cocoa, or even hot cereal. I just ordered an additional one for me--just to to have on hand--and one as a birthday gift for my daughter. It's a GREAT purchase. The one in use now, I've had 3 years and not one single issue--and I make coffee every day. As long as this model is available, it'll be the one I purchase.

I lost my booklet to my Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker and the clean light keeps coming on? How do I clean it?
Asked by: Gailneedagoodshoe
Always turn unit off and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Lift up the Coffeemaker reservoir cover. Remove and discard the paper filter and ground coffee. The filter basket can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after use. Do not put any water in the unit once the filter basket has been removed. Wipe the area under the filter basket with a damp cloth. Remove the carafe from the heating plate. Discard any remaining coffee. The carafe and lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or placed in a dishwasher. The carafe and carafe lid should be placed on the upper rack only. Do not use any scouring agents or harsh cleansers on any part of the Coffeemaker. Never immerse base unit in water or other liquids. To clean base, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before storing. Fingerprints and other blemishes on the housing can be washed off with soap and water or a nonabrasive cleaning solution. Wipe heater plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials or cleansers to clean the heater plate. Do not dry the inside of the water reservoir with a cloth, as lint may remain.
