Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I normally do not leave feedback but felt it necessary to do so with this item. I definitely wish I would have not based my decision on the previous reviews. This in no-way should be considered to be a "winter" coat. Extremely thin. I have spring jackets that are warmer than this garment. I wore it once for approximately an hour with 2 sweaters underneath and felt as though the sweaters were the only items that I was wearing. I live in the midwest and tried it out on a day with temps in the 20's so it definitely tested the so-called "thermal coil" and did not in anyway hold-up to my standards. I felt with the brand name and cost it had to be a good quality item but was I mistaken. I will be returning for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new coat! It has a nice feel to it and not stiff at all! I love wearing my new coat, it is very movable and free feeling. We had a very cold day and I was dressed in layers and the coat was quite warm, plus the hood made a huge difference while keeping me warm in the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good I've not yet tested this jacket, in super cold, cold, but got a size that I can wear warmer clothes under, anyway. Love the "nightshade" color, and coat length. Only downside is no inside pocket. But really large outside pockets for all sorts of stuff. I carry gloves, lip balm, tissue, keys, and bus pass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat Due to it's thinness I was going to decide against it. I ended up purchasing it because it felt like I had on no coat. As I went in the cold it was very warm. I am so happy I went with this coat and spent the extra $ because I am in love with it. I recommend this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmth without bulk My daughter does not like long bulky coats and this is perfect for her. Keeps her very warm without thick down and also moves well with her. Nice styling and performance - Columbia is a trusted and proven brand and JCP had a great sale on this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight coat Great lightweight coat and the fur trim on the hood is removable for when it's raining. I will be packing this coat for a trip and love how easily it packs in the suitcase. It is thin, but warm and I love that I can use it for rain as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Style and Comfortable! I love the coloring, size, and style of this coat! Its really comfortable and it looks good! The only thing i don't like about it is that it doesn't have the therma-coils in the arms. It's not that big of a deal though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and warm jacket I ordered a "Claret" color "Sparks Lake" Columbia jacket, in medium. It fits perfectly[ 5"2", 120lbs.] It is pretty warm, and I'm able to fit a heavy shirt under it.

Does the fur zip off of the hood?

Asked by: Casey
The fur does not zip off but looks like it can be trimmed down easily. Its the hairdresser in me!
