Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality of materials Honestly, i was super excited when my husband told me he was going to get this for us. We usually buy the whole piece of ham and cheese, and slicing with a machine would be much easier. Once we unpacked, i followed all instructions that you can find at the manual, and we started to slice the ham. We noticed right away that the piece that holds the meat is very thin and weak. We kept slicing and half way gone trough the ham (i mean like 5 minutes or less) The blade stopped to run. We took it off, cleaned, and put it back, and still not working. I called my husband and he notices that the little plastic wheel that turns the blade was cricked and because of that it wasn't working. We turned a couple of times manually and started to work again, for two seconds, and stopped. I know you get what you pay for, but at least it should work for 10 minutes before breaking. I picked up today and is going back to the store tomorrow, and most probably, i will pay the difference and get a Cusinart one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Bought this slicer to slice processed luncheon meat. Cut a block of cooked ham and half of a processed turkey breast. A plastic gear inside that meshes with a brass gear stripped. very poor design. Blade isnt sharp enough to even cut melted butter. I highly do not recommend this product. Save your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never Worked! I am used to commercial slicers so I did not not have unrealistic expectations for an appliance with a list price of less than 10% of it's least expensive commercial equivalent. I wanted a easy to store, carry and clean slicer for the occasional small roast or cold cut. I never intended to use this to slice 100 pounds of pit roast at a time! However the plastic gears have something wrong out of the box and I did not even get to see the blade spin, much less slice anything. I have no idea if it would even work for what I expected. I rarely go to Penney's and basically bought this because it was on sale and I happened to be in the store. Sadly if I will need to make a special trip to return it, (The store is 200 miles, round trip) it will actually be less expensive for me to just pitch this and write it off as a bad experience!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked great I bought 2 eye of the round roasts - one 7+ lbs and the other 6+ lbs. For a family Christmas party, I was serving hot roast beef sandwiches and needed the meat sliced very thin to shaved. This slicer did the job. Points to note: read the instruction manual. Don't try to slice a whole roast. I cut each of mine into 3 pieces. Do a piece at a time and let the machine cool down in between to prevent burn out or excess tiny pieces getting caught in the grooves. We oiled the slide bar because it was "tight". It then slid easily. Keep your expectations real. This is not a commercial slicer but great for home use at an extremely reasonable price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BAD PRODUCT!! Purchased the product Nov 5,2016 used it that night and the blade turned so slow that it was not cutting anything, then the blade just stopped turning. I removed the blade and turned the machine on and the motor was working but the gear was not turning. Poor production of product do not waste your time. You get what you pay for on this product. Would have given a 0 but i had to choose something.

How fast (RPMs) is the blade supposed to turn on my Cooks Electric Meat Slicer Model 22014?

Just seems to be turning too slow.
