Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor lid-handle design I've had this crock pot since last June ('15). It works ok but the lid has been a problem since day one. Moisture - and sometimes gunk - gets under the handle and the only way to clean it out is to take the handle off. I did that, and now it won't go back on since the screw stripped nearly instantly. If you read these comments you'll see that I'm not the first to complain about this. Crockpot would do well to redesign the lid and handle. Now I have to order another one if I want to keep using this slow cooker. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shortage Got this as a wedding gift in 2011, used to love this crockpot and raved to my friends about it. However, now when I turn it on and set the time, hit start it shuts off. It not the outlet. Some kind of shortage. Really disappointed because we really did like this crockpot. Too bad it only lasted a few years and warranty only covers 3. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to kitchen necessities This crock pot is the perfect size and it has done a great job with the food I've prepared so far. I made 2 recipes from the book that came with the crockpot and I loved having the main dish ready at dinner witout any extra effort from me. I didn't particularly care for the lemon chicken, since it was rather tasteless, but I learned that a whole chicken may not be the best recipe to fix in a slow cooker - not enough area gets the spices to keep the flavor throughout the bird. The chicken casserole was wonderful as it used breasts, which acquired spice from the stuffing and other ingredients. I didn't find that the food closest to the heating element cooked the food any more well done that any of the rest, which was great. I fixed a brisquet in the cooker for sloppy joes and we really enjoyed them. I plan to cook a roast soon, as I think meats like that will be better using a crockpot. The crock pot is very easy to clean. I don't have a dish washer, so can't share an opinion on that method of cleaning, but hand washing is very easy - no sticking problems what-so-ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a slow cooker thst doesn't boil everything I received a replacement unit when my stoneware crazed and started to grow a mold farm. New unit works like a slow cooker should, slowly. It does not boil food but cooks at roughly 203 degrees. I am super happy about this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far my favorite slow cooker! I read the reviews by Cook's and decided to take the plunge! The look of the polished chrome is certainly beautiful but the real test is cooking in it. I have been using slow cookers since the first Crock Pot came out. Over the years I have noticed that several of them were cooking pretty hot. The thing that caught my attention in the Cook's review was that low is really low and high is really high. The countdown timer and keep warm feature is fabulous. I have owned this for over a year with no problems other than the crock broke into a dozen pieces. In all fairness we were doing a lot of moving and although we were careful I think maybe it was from that. All I had to do was order another crock and we are back in business! This is by far my favorite slow cooker !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC PRODUCT I have been calling Crock Pot for almost 2 years now (every few monhts) to find out why they have not made a product with a feature that you set for when you want your meal done as opposed to the currect settings of when to start it and how long to cook it for. I was always told, "They are working on it". Well, my wait was worth while. I got the email that they were featuring a new product on line at 3PM a few weeks ago, and BAM - here is my dream Crock Pot. My only complaint with it is that the outside gets very hot. Be careful if you have little children that put thier hands on the counters. The cookbook that comes with the Crock Pot is good too, just a a few typos in it! Other than that, I love it! It cooks evenly, done when it is supposed to be and easy to clean!! If the outside did not get so hot, I would rate this EXCELLENT. Thank you Crock Pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I love my crockpot! I have had this particular model for about 1 1/2 years and use it sometimes 3 times a week. So it gets a lot of use. The digital display is great and I absolutely love the warm feature. I am away for some days up to 10-11 hours and the fact that it automatically switches to warm is a wonderful feature. It has always worked and has never burned my food. Well just this week my liner broke. I had no idea this particular model has a 3 year warranty! Not only was my new crock pot liner covered but when I called customer service on a Saturday morning a human being actually answered the phone!!!! He understood my needs and helped me get my replacement liner. Customer service these days is truly lacking and I must say crock pot customer service is above and beyond. I will always purchase crock pot brand, they have a customer for life.

Is the cover suppose to fit tight?? Our cover looks warped.

Asked by: Sandy
Yes, the lid should sit flush on the top of the Crock Pot lip.
