After having this item for just over a year, the liner cracked. Thinking I probably bumped it in the sink and never noticed the crack, or maybe a flaw in the original liner I bought a replacement liner. Then I started to notice meals were taking much less time to cook than they had previously. Tonight I came home to juice from a beef roast running across my kitchen counter, the liner split down the middle and the base no longer turned on. When I left this morning I had a frozen beef chuck roast in the Crock-Pot set to low. The roast was cooked to a fare-thee-well and a mess on the counter. So disappointing. Taking to the dumpster tonight. I won't buy this model/brand again.

I'm pretty disappointed because we had this crock pot for about 3 years and it just stopped working suddenly. It was a solid performer during those 3 years (It did cook really hot as other reviewers have mentioned, but I adjusted all my recipes to cook for less time and added extra liquid to make it work.) This was our 3rd crock pot in 7 years of marriage and I just want one that will last! I'm so tired of them just dying. I thought that by spending a little more money that this one would last, but alas, I was wrong. I think I'll switch to another brand. :/

What a waste of money...Cooks way too high even on the keep warm setting, burning your food. The lid constantly rattles while cooking. I have purchased many crockpots over the years and must say what a disappointment this product is!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Merle24 Easy to use, love the warming feature !
Got this model to replace a much older slow cooker, and I am so glad I did ! Love the clean, sleek stainless steel base, so easy to keep clean and looks great on the buffet. I especially like the black crock, my older model has a white crock which over time has discolored and shows marks from metal utensils. Hoping the black crock will continue to look clean and new with extended use. The best feature however is the timer, no more overcooked dinners ! Too often I’ve been held up at work, or in traffic, and have come home to overcooked and dry meals, no more worries when I know my Crock-Pot will switch to warm mode when the cooking is done. This is a great value with the added bonus of the “Little Dipper”, no more trying to figure out how to keep sauces and gravies warm, as well as hot dips. And the “Little Dipper” isn’t just for serving, by far this was the easiest and most convenient way to melt chocolate for making Christmas candy.
Although I received this model as a tester, overall I would highly recommend this product, good value, works great and is easy and convenient to use. Including the “Little Dipper” seals the deal ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by CookingGal Best kitchen purchase!
We have had our Crock Pot 2 weeks now and it has become a member of our family. The first thing I ever made was Meatballs and our guests couldn't get enough! I even had guests try to walk off with my Crock Pot when they saw how convenient is it. BBQ pulled pork is amazing in it! As I type i'm making mashed potatoes in it and the house smells amazing! It is easy to clean, light compared to others, and nice looking which helps when using at a party. I would say the only thing I would change is that it gets very hot on the outside so I have to be sure to put it far back on my counter so my son can't reach it. I off set that con with the mini warmer that comes with it! Love it! I can honestly say I feel comfortable to set it and forget about it while i'm at work. Because of this Crock Pot I now serve homemade meals....no more fast food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarebear40 Replacing my current slow cooker!
Because of my extremely busy like I am a big fan of cooking with slow cookers. I use mine at least 2-3 times per week. When I'm using a slow cooker I look for ease of use, easy to clean and good timer settings. This slow cooker knocked all three out of the park. I tried it with a few different dishes to get an accurate gauge of its performance and it performed will with all of them. It was very easy to use-I skimmed the instruction manual but there are very few buttons so it was easy to figure out and program. the clean up after the meals was also simple since both the lid and the stoneware were dishwasher sage. But the feature I was most impressed with was the cooking time feature. Other slow cookers I've used have forced me to either just go with high or low or forced just a few cooking times. The cooker I had before made me pick between 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours. I like that I was able to pick in 30 minute increments up to 20 hours. This is helpful since I cook such a wide variety of foods. And the Little Dipper was just a great added bonus! I would definately recommend this product! *I received this product as a sample to review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The crock-pot and Little Dipper are great. I've cooked a pork butt for some pulled pork and meat for my tamales. It came out excellent and the timer helped start it while I was at work. We also cooked a ham in it. The best ham I ever had. I love the oval design. I had a traditional round one. The oval makes cooking a lot easier. Overall it is a great product. The only problem I have seen is that it gets real warm on the outside. However, this has been the same for everyone I have ever owned. As for the Little Dipper, it is a nice bonus. We've used it for keeping cheese dip warm and melted. Works great and the cheese stayed nice and smooth for a couple hours while it sat on the counter during a party. I also use it for my oatmeal. I put it on a timer, a suggestion I found, and it had my breakfast ready for me in the morning.
On the con side, the dipper does not separate it is a little problem when cleaning. Also, I wish the lid was not plastic. Overall, I have enjoyed them so far and would recommend this product for everyone's kitchen.
I received this as a sample to review. In no way did this have any bearing on my OWN opinions on this product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
