Rated 1 out of 5 by New and already broken I just received this Crock-Pot in the mail, and started cooking with it today. The light for the 8 hour option doesn't turn on, so I don't even know if it's working. March 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't work -- plain and simple. :( I've had this for about a year. I thought I was just a bad "cook". But really, how bad can I be, when you throw in some meat, some veggies and potatoes, some awesome sauce, and wait patiently until dinnertime. But then -- everything is crunchy! And then you order pizza. :( This was a constant since I purchased it, but silly me, it only really dawned on me when I prepared a roast w/veggies, or like today, a hamburger/vegetable soup, with small red potatoes that were QUARTERED, and after 10 HOURS on HIGH (restarting the timer to the 4-Hour HIGH mark every 4 hours), were still crunchy! Now, I have another Crock Pot that I've used alternately, that -- oddly -- gets SUPER hot, and scalds the food. Cooking something on LOW, is too hot! I really don't know where to turn here....I WANT to use a Crock Pot, and have very successfully in the past before purchasing these last TWO units in the past year, but one gets SUPER hot, and this model, the "SMART-POT", just doesn't cook -- even on HIGH. :( August 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for us. I've owned a lot of slow cookers. This one is perfect for our life now. I bought it after reading that the newer models get hotter, even on low. (I thought it was my imagination!) Using the programmable feature that cycles to warm helps a lot. Now I'm researching Crock Pots for a friend who nearly burned down her house because she forgot about a pot on the stove. She doesn't have much hand/arm strength so I'm concerned about the weight. If she leaves it out on the counter and uses liners (do they come in oval?) maybe this one will work. I hope that your product team will continue to consider us "old folks" when developing new features. September 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product! The 4-qt programmable slow cooker is great. I love the size for my small family. The oval shape makes it big enough to fit frozen meats that are hard to manage. The programmable feature works, but I wish there was a way to switch it to warm without waiting the programmed time because cooking times vary. Also, switching to warm after the programmed time is not as important with a slow cooker as with a rice cooker or something. If you're out of the house for a long time often then you might enjoy this feature, but I think slow cooker recipes are usually forgiving if you cook them a little extra. It is easy to set the time even without reading the instructions, but there are easy-to-understand steps in the little booklet if you're confused. It is a great slow cooker with high quality parts. The crock pot brand is the best in my opinion. Great ceramic pot that is easy to clean and cooks evenly. This particular slow cooker was sent to me as a sample to try out, and I will keep using it because it's great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 24, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't work It worked great the first time I used it. Then not at all. I mean, it does get warm, but I've ruined four meals now that I've cooked in four hours (on high) using previous slow cookers. None of the dishes were remotely done when I used this one. The first couple times I thought I did something wrong so the last time I triple checked the settings. Two of these dishes were made when I had company and I was so embarrassed. I also didn't like that I couldn't customize the timing. The six and eight hour settings were low only. If I needed to cook something on high for six hours, I had to set it for four then try to remember to go back and set it on high for the last two hours. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Slow Cooker This is my first crockpot but I purchased it specifically because of the way it switches to 'Warm' after the set time is up. I love it! July 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value and performance This crockpot is a basic model which performs very well. Cleanup is easy and having a warm setting is very helpful. June 24, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not fully cook food. I bought this about 2 weeks ago, went to use it for the first time last week, was excited as was an upgrade to one I bought when I got married 15 years ago. Used in two different instances as giving it a second chance, first was pork roast, 10 hrs, tough as cardboard and not cooked all the way. Gave it a second chance, left beans for 8 hours, came home hard as rocks. Can't return as threw out box and receipt. July 12, 2016

Answer:
It goes to a warm setting to keep it warm once it is done cooking. I believe the warm setting stays on for about an hour and then turns itself off.
