Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but hard for me to use My previous stick blender was a braun I picked up at a thrift shop and is all i have to compare to but this one is waaaay harder to use with one hand. It is ridiculous really, you have to push the lock/unlock button on top and then select the speed by holding down the speed button on front then you can let go of the lock button but not the speed button, which even by itself is somewhat awkward to hold down. Then if you just barely let up on the speed button you have to push the lock button down again to start it again. I thought maybe I could live with it but the braun I had was sooo much easier that I'm going to look some more to see if I can find something similar. Only thing wrong with that is the shaft kept falling out, it was after all a thrift shop purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard for me to use I think I am going to return this cuisenart stick blender as the design makes it hard for me to use. You have to push the button on the top of the blender to unlock and while holding that down push the speed you want to blend at and then you can let go of the unlock button but not the speed button or you have to start all over. Very awkward. Can't pulse at all. other one I had was much easier to use. I do think it seems very durable just poor design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stainless steel blade. Perfect. My last one was a name brand & was plastic. Broke in the pot! I'm like this for the stainless steel blade. Good grip. Strong motor for blending. My previous immersion blender came in nice packaging and had a few more features. However, the blade was plastic & broke off in my soup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product is dependable and has great features. I have had a Cuisinart Smart Stick before and used it almost everyday. I love the detachable blade portion and two speed feature. The cord is also long enough for most operations. The one I have has begun to make sounds as though the motor is giving out. So when we saw a new on on special sale, we took advantage of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Blender Purchased this one for my sister because I like mine so much. Good immersion blender, handles everything from smoothies to soups. Still has trouble with large chunks but most immersion blenders do. It is comfortable to use to, which is something you don't always think about when buying an immersion blender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features easy to use. I had one and borrowed it to someone and never got it back. I finally bought another one. It;s great to puree veggies, soup, shakes and so on. I hardly ever use my food processor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product makes great soups. Best present I ever bought for myself! Works easily and has a long enough shaft to fit in pots. Comes apart easily for washing. I like the idea of two speeds.

Will this blender chop ice?

Asked by: NancyO
Sorry, I have not used it for chopping ice. We use it and love it for pureeing sauces and soups and it makes perfect mayonnaise. Hope this helps. :)
