Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rusty Rusty This product was easy to install and seemed to work well until in use for 1 year. Small amounts of rust started to appear on the rod. The product is advertised as rust resistant - it definitely is NOT rust resistant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is sturdy and functional for my needs This rod provides the room we need in the shower with its curves frame. I love it. I had no idea the room i was missing until this product came into my home via JCPenney.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I have never had a curved shower curtain rod before. I feel like I am in a very large shower. It's great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not easy to install, but useful once installed. I was disappointed that this was not as easy to install as advertised. It was difficult to install, even with 2 people. We almost needed a 3rd person, just to help hold it in place while installing. I think that part of the reason it was difficult is that one end piece does not swivel as much as the other side (this also makes it impossible to install it symmetrically). Once we finally got it installed (after several failed attempts), it is proving to be very useful. It does create more space in the shower. One side is further back in the shower than the other because one end could not swivel far enough, though it seems to be very sturdy so far. It would have been easier to just install a shower rod that did require screws, but it will be nice to not have any holes left behind in the wall if I decide to take it down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great rod for adding space I purchased this particular rod due to not having to drill holes to hang it. You definitely need two people to install so you can keep it level but other than that, very easy installation. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy install. Nice design. While I've only had this a few days, it was easy to install and seems to be durable. Nice brushed nickel finish on the rod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great and was easy to install.. This worked great and replaced sliding glass doors. I now have more arm room in the shower which is the main reason I purchased this product (and more light!). Everything is great.. shower curtain with stainless steel rollers work just fine. The rod is set to length into the other rod for the initial set length by 2 set screws,, and can be installed only in one direction. The right end of the rod is then hand tightened to secure to the wall with the rubber footed end pieces. You do not need any mounting hardware to hang the rod in your shower (This is great!). My showerhead as you are looking at the shower is on the right.. so there is a minor 'snag' getting in and out opening the curtain with the smaller extending rod (look closely at images) rolling onto the main rod.... but really not a big deal as it doesn't snag just needs a little more throw to roll the stainless steel rollers... There is a gap on that side that holds the curtain closer to the wall.. So ultimately its more for a left sided shower head. BUT that is only a minor observation and seriously it works great I'm totally cool with it. It is very strong in place and most likely can hold a decent amount of weight if you hang a heavier curtain etc. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A refreshing change from your basic shower rod. I found this slightly bowed shower curtin rod prevents shower spray from the floor. I used a shower liner inside and a decorative shower curtin on the outside of the tub. Rod is also a wonderful color. Matches with everything!

In case it makes a difference, the length of the rod would be 58 inches when installed.

Answer:
It gives you about 6 more inches. It really makes a big difference. We had shower doors and removed them and put up this rod. I used the double hooks for liner and decorative curtain and it looks really nice and makes a big difference in being able to move around. We love it.

Answer:
I don't know exact inches, however, I went from a standard straight rod to the curved and the difference is amazing! The curtain used to get in the way but now I don't even come into contact with it. The install was very quick and easy. After going curved, I'll never go straight again!

We open our curtain from the right side and would like the smooth part of the rod on the right, so that the hooks glide easier.

My shower is 41 inches wide and I need an adjustable rod as I don't want to try to drill my new tiles. I can't find a rod that is the right length and I really like the reviews on this rod.

Answer:
I know it says 48" but the way it comes packaged, I believe it would work for 41". I would say it's worth a try. I'm sure they would take it back if it didn't fit.

Just wondering if an end cap can be removed to allow a hookless curtain to be put on the rod before installing it.
