This dresser has great quality! I was suprised at the amount of pieces that I had to put together, but after an two hours the dresser was complete. The instructions are easy to follow and all the pieces fit where they needed to go without being forced.

by adb09 Good piece for the price
We didn't experience any of the problems mentioned by the other reviewers (maybe they made corrections to the instructions/glides?). Overall we are pleased with this piece. While it isn't our most expensive piece of furniture in the house, it is attractive, matches the other pieces, and will serve it's purpose. I have received lots of compliments on the entire set. Overall we are pleased with the product for the price. You get what you pay for. :)

I love the color! The durability of the wood is excellent, and the delivery experience was one of the best I've ever had.

This is a great dresser. The drawers are spacious (considering it's for infants and children and their clothing is much smaller than adults), the cherry matches the crib wonderfully, very easy to put together but there was one area where the directions weren't as clear as I would have liked but we got through it. The directions don't specify not to use a drill - so we did - and it worked much better than hand tools. We were able to get a tighter fit on all of the bols and screws than without the power tool. As long as you take it slowly with the drill there won't be any issue with the screws coming out the other end of the wood. We were missing 2 pieces (drawer sides) but a quick call to the JCP furniture quality phone number and the pieces were sent to our house a few says later. All in all, great piece, good size, love all of the coordinating pieces that you can purchase seperatly. We'll be buying another piece soon.

This piece looks okay in the photos but once it's together it sure looks cheap. There are small gaps on either side of the drawers making it look cheap. The dresser slideouts and cheap and allows drawers to "slam."
We got this as 3 pc set at economical price. Let's just say they didn't out-do themselves on this little piece. I probably wouldn't buy it again. We went for economical over quality and it's obvious.
I'd recommend spending more to get better quality....like we did for our first child.
I'd be surprised if this set lasts 5 years.

Ok. .. . . at a normal price I would NOT buy this, bought it since it was on "special"
Looks nice, nice color
Wood and composites are to fragile, it easily dents and scratches, even the fake wood panels scratch by just looking at them O_O......
Assembly manual confuses (either that or I don't read them right)
I kept stressing while assembling the furniture, since every wrong move will scratch something, and I guess once we start using it when the baby comes, it will scratch and dent like crazy
Good thing I did not buy the rails to make it an actual bed, I think It wont last 6 or 7 years.. . .

Nice color. Actual expresso wood pieces are fine. Came in a huge box with hundreds of parts. The only way we got the drawers in correctly was by reading a review which stated that the instruction booklet was incorrect.
Once we got it all together the top piece had 2 chunks of wood right off the top front edge & same spot directly behind it.
I did call Penneys first thing in morning. They are sending another top but it will take over a week.
Once together it is very, very unstable. Very poor quality & there is a gap on both sides of every drawer.
I would never recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed.
Pay more & buy a better dresser,

We bought this dresser to go along with the Hartford Straight Back Crib. The dresser arrived in great condition with all parts and semi easy-to-follow directions. Once we put the dresser together, however, we were really disappointed with the quality. The drawers shook/wobbled as they closed; this happened whether the drawers were empty or had clothes in them. Once closed, there was a gap on either side of the front of the drawers where you could see the white drawer glides. The dresser also seemed very lightweight and tippy. For the price, you would think that the quality would be much better. Because of this lack of quality, we are returning the dresser, along with the matching crib, and are canceling our order for the dresser/changing table which is currently on backorder.
