Rated 1 out of 5 by Feels like they are made out of cardboard. I did a quick try on when i picked them up at the store. They fit, so I brought them home. When I put them and walked in them, I was disappointed. I truly felt like I was walking in cardboard shoes. I checked the box and it said the tops/upper were leather or leather like. I don't know what the rest of it was, but they felt cheap, I don't think they would wear. I liked the style and color, but not enough to waste my money to hurt my feet. April 19, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap looking I've been buying Eastland shoes for years and was really looking forward to getting these. What a disappointment! As another reviewer said, they really do look like pleather...very cheap looking, with a slick plastic feel to them. I wear a size 7 which never varies, but there was a lot of heel slippage with this shoe and there is no cushioning at all...felt sort of like wearing a hard, flat flip flop. Sadly I will be returning these even though I wanted so badly to love them. Will have to keep searching for a great leather penny loafer. August 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Even the narrow was too wide Shoes look great. Nice shoe for the price. I ordered 8.5 narrow, which is what I wear. The shoes were a tiny bit long and didn't fit like a narrow - too wide. Also, there was a lot of slippage in the heel area. I would usually use inserts in a case like this, but they were just too big so I returned them. September 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Well made shoe My only complaint with this loafer is that the insole does not go completely to the end of the toe area. It stops about half-way. I find the toe area to be uncomfortable. I removed the heel pad and replaced it with a complete coverage insole. An easy fix, but to me, it should have come with such coverage. November 30, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by KILLS MY FEET I PURCHASED THESE SHOES ON MY PENNYS CHARGE CARD AND WORE THEM ONE TIME. THEY HURT MY FEET SO BAD I WILL NEVER WEAR THEM AGAIN BUT NOW I GUESS I HAVE TO KEEP THEM AND PAY FOR THEM BECAUSE I WORE THEM. THEY FIT, THEY JUST HURT. February 7, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by comfortable, stylish, classic loafer style shoe I have found these shoes to be comfortable and stylish. I will not have to break them in. It would be nice if the lining of the shoe was carried all the way to the toe for added comfort. Because the shoes are not carried in the store to be tried on, it took a while to get the right fit. I had to order a half size smaller than i normally wear. November 14, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by I love Eastlands - don't like this shoe, though I work 10 hour days and have worn Eastland Newports for years and love them. I thought I would try something different - I was disappointed. There is virtually no arch support in these shoes and they gap at the instep. I will be returning them and Keep looking for a more updated look with the same comfort and support of Newports. July 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has not changed in 25+ years!! I searched everywhere for these shoes, I had them when I was in school, and wanted the exact same pair for my daughter ( now 13 ). I was worried, the quality would be less, as everything is these days...but it was EXACTLY the same. I swear it was like I had saved my original Eastlands!! Needless to say, I'll be buying the rest of the colors...Thank you JCP. April 25, 2012
