Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally! The Product I've been looking for! My new Epicurious Cookware Set is not only functional, but, it's beautiful! September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exterior color is a little odd, but otherwise love these, so far Besides the color of the outside/sides of the pots and pans (it is a dark gray, not black, as they appear in the picture), I have zero complaints so far. They seem to have a fantastic interior surface, but time will tell if that lasts. All pots and pans have truly flat bottoms, so they work well on the glass surface of our electric stove-top. The lids seem to be very well made. Unlike the lids for the old pots I'm replacing, they are designed so that they do not collect water in a hollow space where the handles are connected. I bought these on sale and with a 25% off coupon, making them a great deal, but I would have rated the value in my review somewhat lower if there weren't those special offers. September 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this set - Epicurious® 11-pc. Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set I've had this cookware for about a month and I love this set. This is my 1st Hard-Anodized set. Did a ton of research, read lots of reviews and decided on this set after I went into the Penney's store and actually held the pots. This is a high quality, heavy duty, durable set. I was originally going to get the red aluminum set but the hard-anodized felt so much sturdier and of higher quality. I was a bit skeptical because some reviews mention rust developing after washing the cookware. I have not experienced any rust issues when washing my cookware. I have placed water and detergent to soak the insides of the pots/pans to remove food; however I never submerge my cookware in dishwater. I also read that water gets trapped in the lid knobs. I have noticed that but I try to dry as much as I can and the rest air dries - again no rust issues. Also purchased an extra 8-quart pot and the cast iron skillet - both Epicurious. Love all pieces. Will post any issues if I experience them, but at this time I love Epicurious cookware!! I have now thrown out about 95% of my old cookware and have no regrets! August 1, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great price for induction cookware... We got a great deal at JCPenny on this cookware set...and it works great with my induction oven... June 21, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Just purchased 11 piece that three weeks ago and the finish is already starting to come off. I only used the pots maybe four or five times This set was recommended to me by a friend. I purchased 11 piece set and so far I'm not impressed. There's no large frying pan you have to buy that separately. And I noticed that the finish on the outside of the pans has changed color! I've only had this set for less than three weeks I hand wash them and they look o me like lithey're not going to hold up. I have bought less expensive sets and they've done better. March 7, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Handles rust after first wash! I have owned this set for less than 3 weeks, and every single lid and handle is rusting under the silicone. Most of them have only been hand washed once! I haven't even cooked with all of them! Also, water stays in the lid, under the metal, and you can clearly see it swooshing around in the glass! Nothing is sealed on these pans, which allows the water to be trapped. The box advertises that metal utensils can be used, but, the owners guide inside the box states nothing with a point, such as forks. I used metal tongs, thinking it should be fine, and it definitely left fine scratches in the finish. I will be returning and buying a completely different brand. March 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is an exellence example of what a cookware should be. Elegant, efficient, durability, strong and affordable. December 17, 2015

I am unclear why one is a stockpot and the other is considered a Dutch Oven.

Answer:
They are the exact same pot except the Dutch oven has a meat rack in it. They are huge! I think my old pots must have been 5-quarts because the 8-quarts are big enough to cook 32-ozs of spaghetti with room to spare!
I purchased the Dutch oven in addition to the Epicurious® 11-pc. Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set.

Answer:
The dutch oven is used mainly for heavy dishes such as casseroles and is also ca be used for slow cooking. The stockpot is used mainly to make stews and soups, but can also be used to broil and steam foods.
