Rated 5 out of 5 by Carrieann from Beautiful and classy We have had these shades on our kitchen windows for years and they still look just as gorgeous as when we first installed them and we have gotten many complements over the years. They still work just as smoothly as they did in the beginning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NCSandy from Simply beautiful I bought these shades for my kitchen and they are simply stunning. The fabric is gorgeous, the shades are sturdy and they give my kitchen a complete "rich" feel. I get compliments on them from everyone that visits.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MiffednMichigan2 from Disappointing These roman shades were constructed of flimsy fabric and construction. The support for one shade snapped in half with the weight of the curtain while trying to install it. They did fit perfectly, however.

Is there a picture of what the shade looks like at the top? Also, is this cordless?
It depends on if you add a valance at the top (it's extra as an option). I didn't, so the top of my shade looks exactly like pictured since I did the looped version. I believe you can get it cordless up to a certain size, but my window is very large, so I couldn't use the cordless option. I did an inside mount. I thought there would be more to the hardware of this shade, but the basically built the top around a long piece of wood. Even so, I have been very happy with this shade. The cord mechanism has been working great.

if I were to order this item too wide will I be able to make an adjustment
No. Better to order a narrower blind.

What is the length shade that shows when the blind is rolled/pulled up to its highest point?
Ashton Custom Waterfall Roman Shade 44 1/2 width X 33 1/2 length. Inside mount to over-the-sink kitchen window.
At it's highest point, the blind is about 6". I really like these blinds. The only change would be to not have the exposed draw cord. I liked the ones in the store that have a little loop under the bottom, on the window side of the blind the didn't have the exposed cord when drawn, but they were out of my price range. This one was a little pricey.

Are the strings visible from the back? Will people looking at the window from the outside see the strings?
The white lining is sewn to the back of the fabric, and then the white cording is assembled to the back of the lining. You will see cords on the back of the lining.

Is it possible to mount this shade from the sides of the window?
It cannot be mounted in that manner.
