  • Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy with it! I purchased it 3 weeks ago, and I can't stop to use it. Ice cream is delicious and I know exactly what I put there. The taste like the best Italian homemade ice cream. You just need to read carefully instructions and choose right products (for example, you have to use whole milk, and not fat reduced one). Make sure that your freezer works properly and set it to the temperature indicated in the instructions. April 21, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by good product This is fun and easy to use. The ice cream turns out a bit soft, so you have to freeze it right away. I have also noticed that when taken out of the freezer the ice cream melts very quickly. There is nothing better than the taste of pure, simple ingredients found in making your own. February 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by super product and so easy This is so easy and makes the best ice cream..Just pour in the liquid and turn it on, its that simple. You can have home made deserts in twenty minutes. Any liquid you want to use freezes in minutes with no mess, No ice , no salt . I have recommended it to all my friends. June 14, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Was very disappointed I kept the freezer bowl in the freezer overnight. I had made my ice cream the night before so it would be chilled. I let the macine run for 25 minutes and it hadn't thickend so I left it running for another 10 minutes, it still had not thickend. I was very disappointed. March 21, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is very user friendly I love this ice cream maker. It's so easy to use and makes great ice cream everytime. It only takes minutes to make and easy clean up. I've learned to keep the tub in the freezer for at least two days before making the ice cream so that the ice cream isn't too soft. June 16, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best purchase ever I love this machine. I had a 5 quart old fashioned type ice cream maker that finally bit the dust. I decided to try the Cuisinart Ice 30...I absolutely love it! I've used it 3 times within a month! Makes wonderful ice cream! November 16, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by ice cream is thick and is made very quickly. We love this machine!! worth the money. The machine is easy to use and works so good. My 11 year old is the one who follows the recipes that are included and makes the ice cream . The recipes are included witht he machine and so far have been very tasty. April 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Purchase I would recommend this product to anyone. It is the best purchase that I've made. I love JC penny's products. The only draw back is that you can't make two batches because the freezer bucket does not stay frozen enought to make a second batch. June 17, 2010

    How does it work>

If the ice cream maker does not use ice/salt to freeze - how does it work? And why can't you make two batches as reviewers all state.

    Answer:
The ice cream maker comes with 2,12 oz bowls. They have a liquid made inside the walls of the bowl that will freeze. You must freeze the bowls 8 hours before use. You can make 2 batches with 2 frozen bowls.

    Answer:
The bowl the ingredients are added to is frozen first. The coldness of the bowl is what causes the ice cream to freeze. The bowl does need to be frozen each time you create a batch. Additional bowls are available by calling Cuisinart directly at 800-726-0190 if you would like to create multiple batches at a time.

    Hope this helps!
