Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing I splurged on this coffeemaker as a gift to myself. Found it to be very, very messy, putsy with lots of pieces, and sloooow brewing. You have to clean and thoroughly dry the 2 grinding pieces after each use in order make more coffee so the coffee doesn't get gummed up in the grinder/feeder and then you end up with weak coffee. The inner parts of the machine get messy with beans that grind and don't make it to the brewing basket. Somehow, coffee runs down, between the basket and the warming plate, and it gets gummed up/crusty all around the warming plate. Sometimes hardly any coffee will end up in the carafe, only to find that it has leaked all over the counter, underneath the coffee maker. WHAT A MESS. It takes FOREVER to even brew one cup of coffee (3-4 cup mark on carafe) - - I'm talking 10-15 minutes. I thought this 2-in-1 machine was going to save me time and mess of grinding separately and brewing. Sadly, it did not. I'll probably go back to a $35 machine for my next purchase. How sad is that? Rated 3 out of 5 by Leaking bottom I absolutely love this coffee maker with the programed timer so its ready in the mornings. Coffee is easy to make and smells great when you wake up. I noticed slowness after about 6-7 months but it you run vinegar and hot water through a couple of times if cleans everything nicely and good for another 6-7 months. I would think with any coffee maker you would have to do this. The only thing I could say was after 3-4 years it started having a leak at the bottom of the coffee maker. It wasn't alot of water but does leak on the counter a bit and its annoying. Now I feel i hate to order another and not sure I would choose the same cause I love it. March 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by fast grind and brewing This was a Christmas present for my husband. When the box arrived he dove into the box, and set it up ,now I cant get him out of my kitchen, Just loves all it does he's now stock piling coffee beans, Wonderful gift and the fresh ground bean smell is delightful This is what all coffee lovers need, a true must have machine. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Coffee Works like its supposed to. The grounds are tiny and go through the tiny holes in the gold filter included. Other than that, great coffee maker. Better than the last one I purchased. I would purchase this one again but I have only had it for a few weeks. Who knows, it may explode later on down the road. But for now, it works like a charm. Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to master once set this coffee maker will brew an excellent cup of coffee for years to come. This is our second grind n brew purchase. December 19, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great idea but poor craftsmanship Great idea but poor craftsmanship. its not the easiest to use. feels flimsy and the moisture/steam got into the grinder and the coffee wouldn't come out. its seems like it was not thought through very carefully. December 16, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor design I bought this for the convince of the grinder being one with the coffee maker. The problem with this unit is as another reviewer stated, the steam gets into the grinder and it gets clogged up. I returned it and went back to my stand alone grinder and old coffee maker for now, hopefully I'll find the quality unit I'm looking for.....until then, it's the old standby. Also, the coffee takes forever to brew, I use my Keurig while waiting...... November 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coffee Lovers Coffee Maker I have had this coffee maker for approximently 5 years, and this weekend the grinder went out (still makes coffee though). I have bought regular coffee makers, and they usually don't last more than a year so I am impressed with this one. Pros: I am able to have fresh ground coffee, which I enjoy my coffee strong Will keep my coffee piping hot for up to 4 hours without tasting burnt. (I am extremely picky about my coffee) Able to set timer and smell the fresh aroma of coffee in the morning...makes me wake up. I received many compliments from friends, and they even bought one too. Cons: Having to clean the grinder every day which takes about 30 seconds. Not a big deal but its a con even though I would have to clean a regular grinder as well. I spend way more money on fresh beans and WILL NOT purchase just any coffee. Having some of the best coffee might make you go out of your way just to go buy the best beans...fair warning. It broke on me after 5 years...not really a con but I couldn't think of anything else. The review I am writing for has the glass carafe, however, mine came with the thermal carafe. I recommend the thermal and not glass unless you can drink a pot within 30 minutes. March 2, 2014

Steamer Wand
I'm just curious about the steamer wand. What is the purpose? where does it attach? Is it similar to an espresso machine steamer wand?
