Rated 2 out of 5 by from A big bad surprize! My first purchase was the darker brown color (10 panels). Holding up well after 3+ years in a sunny location. This January I bought the natural colored curtains (10 panels). Pretty careful about closing windows when rain threatens however I do live along the coast where there can be high humidity. Vacuuming today and I see horrible black mildew stains on the backs of the natural curtains and showing on the fronts! VERY obvious & pretty disgusting. I don't redecorate often and I am pretty upset about it. Any suggestions on cleaning would be appreciated. Wish I could return them!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly pleased and surprised I ordered woven bamboo grommet panels in early January, 2016 from on on-line retailer. Two months later I still had no panels but my credit card was charged. I was given a laundry list of excuses from slow down in production due to Chinese New Year to back-orders. A delivery date could not be guaranteed even in March! I sat in a new home with no sliding glass door window coverings. I cancelled the order. I went to JC Penny on-line and found similar panels for HALF the price! I ordered two panels which were delivered in merely four days. I was so impressed with the quality of the product, I ordered four more panels for more coverage at night. Those panels arrived in just three days. The product added such amazing style and quality to my home which has plantation shutters on all the other windows. Plus, there are no cords or string to hassle! What an incredible experience with JC Penny! I am an exceptionally delighted customer from the standpoint of quality of product, service delivery, and stellar value for a rock bottom low price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Blinds to Deflect Bright Sun I ordered two different colors at various times. The natural color is nice and so is the Teak, although they are a little darker than the picture. It worked for me because they somehow match my dining set. The point of purchasing these was to try to block out the very direct, very bright sun that sets on the back of my house. Drives me absolutely crazy. I've taken several pictures so that you can see that these deliver well. I don't even have to close the blinds anymore on the windows that have them because when I slide the bamboo panels over, they block out the sun. They also are very neat, hang well but heavy so make sure to have the correct rod and support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this product We really like the way these panels look on our sliding door in our dining room; they're casual yet dressier than traditional vertical blinds. We have an open floor plan so wanted casual. We chose the Teak color & to us it's very neutral but adds some color. On our 74" door we put 3 panels & slide them to one side. It was a challenge with the weight of these blinds - we ended up putting a piece of conduit inside the curtain rod so it didn't sag in the middle. Otherwise we'd have to put the middle bracket in & go to 4 panels & slide to both sides - this works better for us. When they're closed they do let light in, which is just what we wanted in our situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. Great Price. We needed something to diffuse the direct sun coming in our sliding glass doors, without blocking ther view of our deck and surrounding trees. This product exceeded our expectations. We picked the "natural" color blinds to go with our off-white walls, The subtle bamboo color also complemented our orange/red Saltillo floor tile. I installed the blinds myself, with the help of my wife. We bought the simple, stylish JCP bronze curtain rod, screwing it's brackets into the studs beneath our sheetrock wall. The rod easily held the weight of three panels with only 1/4 to 3/8 inches of sag over a 74" + span. We saved hundreds of dollars over the cost of hiring a window coverings professional, and probably got a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality at a great price I purchased 8 of these panels over a year ago for two patio doors and was so impressed with their look and quality that I recently bought more for another door. They are very well designed and constructed. They are also heavy. This is something that needs to be taken into account in choosing your rod and in fastening the rod brackets to the wall. In my case I was attaching to a brick wall and hanging four panels on each rod. This required some innovation because of the positioning of the rod, the nature of the brick (burnt adobe brick, which is very soft) and the location of existing mortar joints. Was able to work this out for a temporary hanging of the rod but ultimately I will fabricate a rod hanger to be attached to the wooden beams in my cathedral ceiling. These particulars aside, the weight of the panels is part of their appeal for me. They have a very robust appearance, reduce a little heat gain in the summer (I'm in Tucson) and the color(s) are great. I plan on purchasing more for other doors in my home. The regular price is reasonable for the quality and the sale price makes them a real bargain. Delivery was quite quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product was exactly as it appeared online. The first set of curtains I purchased were too dark. I re-ordered the curtains, which was not as smooth as expected on the free shipping aspect, but an associate resolved the problem. The exchange for lighter curtains were exactly what I was looking for. The curtains are durable, and the coloring is exactly as it appeared online. The length and width indicated in the description were accurate. Nice looking bamboo curtains. The sale price on the curtains made it a great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect answer! I absolutely love my bamboo panels. We had vertical blinds for a long time and I was not sure what would work as well with the balcony sliding glass door but these panels are the perfect answer. All the reviews were also helpful and very positive. The quality is GREAT. They are heavy so you will need a durable rod. There is no issue with someone from the outside looking in. We purchased 2 panels for each door/section. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

Answer:
I own several of these and I'm quite happy with them. They are of quite good quality and are relatively heavy due to bamboo construction. The bottom edges of these panels are finished with a heavy cloth, as are the sides and tops. I don't see how you could cut them without destroying the look and integrity of the panel.

My husband & I went outside after dark to see if you could see inside. We left some lamps on & all we could see were shadows. This was important to us because we live in close proximity to out neighbors. During the day I can see out but someone would have to be standing right outside the window to really see inside.

We also wanted an alternative to vertical blinds for our dining area, which has sliding doors going out to the patio. These are not as opaque as verticals, but they do provide a lot of privacy, I think. Keep in mind that they still are made of translucent woven material so they won't ever function the way a blackout shade might.

Hi, I haven't put mine up yet but from reading some other reviews, I don't think they will offer total privacy due to the nature of the weave they seem like they will let sunlight through and at night if you have lights on I think they will be semi sheer, I plan to use a plain beige/brown curtain behind them as I also want privacy.

Answer:
Each panel, when scrunched up is about 4" wide. These panels are heavy, so you'll need a center bracket to keep the rod from sagging. I have 4 panels on my slider so when they're opened, there are 2 on each side. My rod is extended about 3" past the door frame so the panels do not obscure my view at all.

Answer:
The panels fold up very compactly. Each panel arrives in a box that is
approximately 5 inches. They have sharp folds in the panels that allow
them to bunch together easily, and take up less room than fabric curtains. I have them on my patio door, and am very happy with the result.
