Rated 4 out of 5 by JReneeC What I neeeded
Simple, traditional design curtain rod that I used above the windows in the dining room, living room and family room. I purchased 6 rods (3 double and 3 single) in two different sizes for use and have hung them all now. Being able to select the color was key for me so I could match the rods to the rest of the rooms' decor. The only words of caution I would give to others when purchasing & installing are: 1) Do not intend to use the rods to their maximum length unless placing light weight fabric on them because more expanded the rod gets, the weaker it is in the middle. Plan on having at least 2 to 3 inches of overlap of the inner rod and outter rod for stability and preventing a sag in the middle. 2) When installing the brackets, do not place them too close to the window trim because the curtains can't cover the brackets leaving the window trim work exposed (not attractive).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandma20 good quality materials.
WE used it in our bedroom, hanging side drapes and 2 pairs of sheers....looks lovely with the gray tones in our window coverings.
The rod is a silvery brushed tone.....excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by shop4Xav So glad that I ordered these rods.
I needed curtain rods for the living room in our new house that we just moved into. I purchased some ( single rods ) from another company before I saw these advertised at JCP , I got so excited when I saw that they were double rods and they were on sale and would only cost just a few pennies more than what I'd paid for the single rods. I ordered three of them and they are beautiful and sturdy and looks more elegant in the room. So glad I checked JCP before we hung the other rods up, needless to say we returned those rods. Don't hesitate, buy them if you're contemplating rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OCLady Beautiful, Quality Rod
It is difficult to find double rods. It is even more difficult to find quality rods. JCPenney never disappoints regarding the quality of their rods. I ordered this one in antique pewter as this one isn't available in brushed nickel. It is simplistically beautiful. The color and appearance is true to the image posted, and everything was packaged very well so as to protect the rod from damage/marring of the finish. I have not rated the durability as it is new and I cannot comment on that at this point, but expect it to last as it appears to be made of quality materials. I highly recommend this rod. I rated the rod an excellent value as it was on sale and I also had a percent off coupon. It was still not inexpensive, but was an excellent value considering the quality of the item. The regular price is quite pricey, but this rod is not resin or painted plastic like the majority of rods that are sold elsewhere, and so the adage that you get what you pay for rings true -- hope when you are shopping for rods that JCPenney has them on sale and you'll be even happier with the purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shopper Sorry that I bought this rod
When I went to change my curtains the end that holds the front curtain snapped off. The rod is only about 2 to 3 years old. The rods shift when you open the curtains, I tried to tighten the screw but that did not help.

Rated 2 out of 5 by h8thesebrackets Never met a more frustrating bracket
The rods are ok if you get the smaller sizes. The larger ones really sag unless you use the middle brackets, which brings me to my summary... these brackets have to be the most frustrating thing I've ever worked with. Once you drill the holes into the wall, it is impossible to drill in the screws with the angle between the parts of the brackets that hold the curtains and the holes in the brackets. In order to avoid stripping the screws you must use a hand held screw driver, but still the angle almost guarantees that you must strip the screw in order to get it flush. Horrible design on the brackets. Give me a little space on the brackets, so I'm not ready to destroy the whole thing before I'm done.
Anyone with any ideas on how to make this process easier, I would be all ears.
