Custom blinds and shades
Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality, good value I recently purchased the room darkening blinds. They were a perfect match to the existing ones and darkened the room as needed. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by SHADES ARE GOOD QUALITY GREAT SALE WITH A GREAT PRODUCT AND I SAW IT ON BRADS DEALS. NOW I WILL LOOK AT YOUR WEBSITE ALL THE TIME. THANK YOU April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for children's bedrooms I have a 2 and 5 year old and put these cordless blackout curtains in their bedrooms. These blinds are perfect for nap time and I don't worry about cords dangling down. The blackout portion really blocks out the light and the daytime portion provides enough light without compromising privacy. The blinds were easy to install by myself. I would highly recommend them and I plan on installing them in the rest of my house. April 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product and customer service These shades are excellent - I love the day mode, which provides plenty of sunlight, but privacy as well. We originally bought the wrong size - the return experience was excellent - great customer service in your store. Thank you! April 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love these shades I was hesitant about ordering these shades for a double window in our master bedroom, but I am so glad I did! The blackout option is great while we're sleeping, and the light filtering is a great way to soften the mid-morning sun while still letting light into the room. I ordered the white and am pleased with the quality of the blackout material (which is sometimes less effective with a light shade). Also, JCP has a great selection of sizes available, and I was able to order these and have them fit right out of the box, whereas I'd need to have blinds custom cut if I had purchased cellular shades from another distributor. I'm definitely ordering another pair for the windows in our family room. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE my new shades!!! These shades were EXACTLY what we needed for our living room. We have 2 windows that face the street, so privacy, especially at night was an issue. The great thing about the room darkening day/night feature is how you can totally block out the outdoor light or just shield the glare from the sun & still enjoy daylight without giving up any privacy. March 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solved two problems with one shade. We needed something to darken our bedroom windows while we slept and provide privacy while allowing light to filter in during the day. This shade does both with only a gentle pull on the convenient tab to change from dark to light cells. My husband was able to install the shades. There was a few moments of confusion on which way to put the metal brackets but once we figured it out the shades went up without a hitch. These are our first cellular shades and I believe we will by more. Originally I hesitated to order these cordless shades because I was worried they may be hard for me to operate but they open/close easily. February 26, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too long for inside mount by 3-4" Was it something I missed. Because when I held up the 23" top down/bottom up cordless day night shade in antique ivory I had just taken out of the box, the top of the blind was close to a full 2" too long for the window. The cellular shades themselves would not fit inside the 24+" window frame. I ordered the inside mount 23"x 48" shades. All of the shade top to bottom could have be installed covering the whole window, frame and all but I'd really like the inside mount. There is plenty depth for that. Did I miss something? The box read inside mount 23"x48"?? March 6, 2016

Answer:
They cannot. Though there is quite a bit of room for these to be expanded, I think they rather hide themselves well at the sill of the window.

Answer:
I have installed 9 of these 36"x64" shades on 36"x60" windows, and I LOVE them. The pleats towards the bottom don't fully open when the shades are fully extended, but I think it looks fine --- the folds just gradually get closer and closer together. When the shades are fully raised, it doesn't make a noticeable difference. Hope this helps.

Would a 36" truly be 36 inches in width or would it be 35 1/2?

Answer:
In regards to the width of the blinds, it is true to its size. We have not measured it length wise; however it does cover our window from top to bottom. Our windows measure 35x62 and we ordered 35x64. The blinds line up very nicely beside one another.

Answer:
I need to return these because my window is a hair under 27" and the shades rubbed against the side of the windows, so I think they would be exactly true to size.

I have a double window that currently has shades that are hung in such a way that there is a 2in gap between the two shades. I'd like the new shades I get to be able to hung closer together. Would it be possible to hang these shades with about a 1/2in between them?

Answer:
Yes. They look great beside each other. The size of the blinds next to each are 35x72. There is less than a 1/2 inch space between them.

I did they look great! My husband had to build a little shelf to attach them to because the sizes didn't work out for me to hang them on the inside of the frame. I have 8 of them side by side in a room with large transom windows. I love them. .

Answer:
They work as they appear in the picture. They can be lowered as room darkening - partial or total window and they can be light filtering- partial or total window. They will not lower so that there is no shade at the top if that is what you are inquiring.

Answer:
Mine are fastened at the top so they can't be lowered from the top - the one I ordered was a little less expensive than the kind that can be adjusted from top and bottom.

The end of the lever on the mounting bracket can be seen over the top edge of the head rail, but in the pictures of the product online, it cannot be seen. Is there an alternate way to install?

Answer:
When first looking at the product picture, I thought the bracket would be somewhat hidden as well. My handy dandy husband pointed out the blinds in picture have a window frame around it. If you look hard enough, you'll see it. That's why you cannot see the bracket as much. There is no other way of installing the blinds. You can add window frames to hide it like the picture. But if you're window is like mine where it can fold it out for easy cleaning, a frame will not work as it will not allow you to fully extend it. But if you do not have windows like that, then a frame will work just fine.

Answer:
No. The average person is not going to notice these, but if it bothers you, disguise the lever. Cover it with a piece of tape matching the shade, or better yet, matching the color of your window frame. Or paint them. Or you might saw off the tab on the lever. The tab makes it easier to close, but for a one time use, the aid of a needle nose pliers will do the same. Or you could simply bend the tab to make it out of sight. Good luck!
