Rated 5 out of 5 by These curtain rods work great! These curtain rods are very sturdy and work smoothly. They were easy to install. Installing them greatly improved the look of our family room and improved our enjoyment in using the room. They look so much neater than tab top or other similar curtains and are so much nicer and easier to use! I grew up with this style of curtains and I wish they would catch on again - they are the best! January 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Traverse Rods I recently ordered 4 of these rods for different sized windows. They installed easily and are great quality. Very happy with the purchase and pricing. July 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by works as expected The rod is heavy enough to hold the lined, blackout drape purchased from and installed by Penneys June 22, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was just what I was looking for The Traverse Curtain rod I purchased glides perfectly. The best I have ever used. May 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The product was not available in store so we were pleased to even be able to find what we needed. We replaced a drapery pull rod. The old one had a plastic part that broke and the new one was all metal. I was happy to see that. April 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product looks professional The rod was not the easiest to install but look great once it was up and the drapes were hung. January 21, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not operate smoothly I purchased the smallest rod and hung it in a 40" opening. The mechanism balks when the travelers need to cross over overlap between the two halves of the bar. You need to pull quite firmly to get the rod to close. My Kirsch rod is effortless across the whole opening. December 30, 2015

Answer:
Although I mounted the rod to the wall, there were instructions included which explained how to mount the rod to the ceiling. No additional hardware is needed to mount the rod to the ceiling.

Answer:
regular drapery hooks work just fine. you will have plastic tabs hanging down from the rod with a hole in the middle for your hooks. Skip some of the tabs if you have too many on the rod. if short 1 or two be sure to use the metal return for at least 2 hooks and wrap them around the end of the rod

Answer:
I just reused the traditional metal pin drapery hooks that I used with my old rod from 1965 -- no problem.

Answer:
I used metal pin drapery hooks inserted into the pleats with no problem. The Desyne rod sliders come with the rod and can be removed if needed. My rod had excess sliders.

Answer:
The Rod Desyne Heavy Duty Center traverse adjustable curtain Rod is wonderful, Though I like to look out a clear window without any other blinds. I think it would be very tight, I really don't see you ever being able to open your vertical blinds, or having room to even put the header on top of the vertical blinds.. I think it's either one or the other. CRL.

Answer:
If your vertical blinds are mounted inside your window frame and don't protrude past the frame, then yes, you will be able to mount the rod over the vertical blinds. Otherwise, you will have a problem. On a different note, I really like my new Rod Desyne Heavy-Duty Center Open Traverse Adjustable Curtain Rod. The curtains open and close smoothly.
