I ordered these curtains for every room on the 1st floor of our new home. Our aesthetic is very French rustic (think Chesterfield sofas, reclaimed wood, distressed metals). We selected the 108 panels in soft platinum... be aware that this IS a greenish-gray, which is exactly what we were looking for. It ties in BEAUTIFULLY with our Gray Owl paint. Our "windows" are actually french door-style, and we discovered we were losing plenty of heat during this cold Chicago winter. We have six different sets of french doors and a huge picture window (102" wide); each french door has a panel on each side, and our large picture window has 4 panels for fullness). These are heavy, so be sure to purchase sturdy rods. After installation, our home is noticeably warmer (no walking around wrapped in bla!nkets!) and our energy bill was lower this past month!! The panels also provide superior light reduction. Our only complaints are that a 120 panel is not offered and that varying widths are not available! Fortunately, we have an excellent seamstress who was able to add extra length to the 108 panels (I later purchased on extra panel for this purpose) and the result has been a luxurious but understated look. We have received numerous compliments from visitors and have only had the panels since early December.

by JennyPenny6 Great velvety curtains
I ordered a pair of panels in Ink, and was pleased to find that they are a lovely blue-gray rather than gray-black. They are nice and heavy, although they have long vertical creases from the packaging which I haven't been able to fix yet as I don't have an iron or steamer. Most important, though, they cut the cold winter draft in my living room. The window wall was 8 degrees colder than the rest of the (not large) room, and these curtains took care of most of that. Whew. I'm hopeful they'll be equally effective for summer heat. They also block light quite well, although that wasn't a priority for me. Got them during a half-off sale so the value was pretty good. Overall I am very happy with these.

by JosieT So satisfied with these drapes
Considered Velvet Drapes by well known expensive catalog company
(sale) but opted for these instead and couldn't be more pleased. I was worried when they arrived because they looked "crushed" and I wasn't going for that look. I wanted textured and luxurious, which is exactly what I got (after steaming and brushing). The reason I wrote this review is that I believe I received the most for my $$$. Way to go JCP! I saved money and didn't have to sacrifice quality.

I needed energy efficient drapes for an office space. These Augusta Velvet curtains, in Techo Gray, are beautiful. They are very well made, substantial panels. The velvet is very soft and rich looking. I ordered two panels, and did have to send one back, as I received one that was mislabeled, but the exchange was handled quickly. The velvet has a lovely drape, and the energy efficiency will definitely help keep the room warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. These are dry clean only, but I don't anticipate that being an issue. I would definitely recommend these drapes.

These curtains are beautiful! We purchased the ink color and they do have more gray in them than blue, but awesome nonetheless. They also really block the cold from coming through the windows. You do have to steam them once you take them out of the packaging.
Very cool curtains!
