Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is great with the trundle If you are on the sideline, make sure you order the trundle. Getting a twin side mattress that goes on top is probably the harder thing for me than ordering the daybed. After I got a foam mattress and place it on top, the bed looks great. the trundle and the daybed essentially has the same design. The only thing I wish it was a little smaller as there is like 2 inches or so on either side. Cons: The materials are on the cheap side. For example, I wish there are more hardwood because as I put the casters into the trundle, some of the screws are already splitting the woodblocks. Because the support (instead of a mattress box) for both the daybed and the trundle is made from similar type of materials, I am scared that they will give out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice daybed that doesn't look like a bed This is a great daybed that we have in our family room. It has a look that goes well with our other furniture and doesn't look like a bed turned sideways like most daybeds. We added some big pillows to the back and my teenage kids pile on to watch movies or play videogames. It is now the "best" seat in the house. My only issue with it is that it is higher than I expected. Other than that it is perfect for what we needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I was thrilled when I promptly my packages containing my bed. It had to be put together but was very easy and was done in no time. The bed is alot bigger than I expected and the brown is very dark, almost black, but overall I am very happy with my bed. Great quality and very sturdy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what is shown! This products does NOT fit the twin bed... maybe would be better with the extra long twin, but even at that, the slats would still show! With a regular twin there is about a 5" gap at the bottom if you push the mattress all the way to one side or the other. You can see about 3" of the slats if you push the mattress to fit up against the back. After we assembled the daybed itself and found out about the above, we did not assemble the trundle, but the trundle box was opened and ALL the slats were warped. Would like to find some pros to this product but just cannot!! I am hopeful the return goes smoothly... only problem is we could not return to a store... HAD to have it returned same way it came. Customer service helpful thus far... praying it continues!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great little beds I loved the daybed and trundle I bought for my grandchildren, and they did too! It was a bit confusing when I ordered it because the trundle bed did not have a separate item number. That would be my only complaint. If the trundle bed wore out you would have to order the whole set, daybed and trundle again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking bed. Bed looks nice. I was a little disappointed when I put the bed together. Two of the pre installed nuts came loose while I was tightening up the bolts and I couldn't get the rails tight, (the nuts turned inside the unit and there's no way to access them). What's one to do when the bed is 90% put together??! I drilled new holes and used lag bolts to attach the rails!! fortunately it was on the back side of the bed, so it's against the wall and not noticeable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great! The bed looks great and is good quality, definitely worth the money. I have it against a wall which is good because the back of it is not covered to the bottom, it is only covered to the point that your mattress starts (along the bottom). It was pretty easy to assemble. All in all, I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from looks great! This daybed is a great value! Looks great and was easy to assemble. The one review had me worried about the size of the mattress, but a standard twin fits fine! The slats for the trundle are not warped; they are supposed to be bowed.

Answer:
Yes, a twin mattress fits the trundle. But, it needs to be a flatter mattress in order to insure it does not get stuck when pushing in the trundle bed.

Trundle detachable?
I'm wondering if the trundle for this daybed is detachable and does it have any wheels on the bottom? Or once the unit is assembled, the trundle is locked into place? Some trundles for daybeds can be pulled out, they're on wheels and then can be moved to other rooms.

Answer:
The trundle have wheels on the bottom and are not "attached" to the daybed. It just pulls out and slide underneath when not it use.

Answer:
Don't know about wheels but this not appear to be a pop up and most trundles are not connected so they can be moved away from the bed

Answer:
The Massey Daybed does not require a boxspring foundation. There are bed slats included in the package that are easy to place and seem to be very strong and well-made. We simply purchased a twin mattress from JCPenney, and had a very comfortable sleeping daybed. (We purchased the Massey Daybed without the trundle bed option.) To make your daybed comfortable for sitting, you will need to get some bolsters and large pillows, and probably footstools, as well -- the daybed is very deep.
