Rated 3 out of 5 by from want to love them but not durable for the first year, these were my favorite sheets, and I had vowed to only buy these in the future. they look nice, they're soft, they truly are wrinkle-free, they have deep pockets and fit a deep mattress better than any other sheet set I've ever owned. but I woke up the other night to the sound of fabric tearing as I pulled the covers up higher. in the morning, I found a tear about 6" long. I was going to fix them, but when I made the bed and carefully pulled a little more, the rip doubled. the material is so thin now that it's almost see-through (see my picture of the think spots and the beginnings of tears in the flat sheet draped over a desk lamp) I decided to retire them and turn them into rags. I was shocked at how easily they tore into small, rag-size pieces. I loved everything about these sheets, but now I don't think I will buy them anymore because they didn't last very long. some people may think a couple years is a long time to own a set of sheets, but I've never before used a pair long enough for them to become thin and tear so easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fitted sheet shredded after 7 months I experienced 2 of the same problems as other reviewers. Bought a queen set of these sheets, along with extra pillow cases and some king cases for my big hugging pillow. First I found that using prespotter products according to package directions removed color from the sheets and left spots. Then about 7 months after we began using them a big hole appeared at the bottom of the fitted sheet. I went a step further than other reviewers and tried doing an iron on fabric patch, but the sheet was so thin that when next laundered, a big rip appeared beside the patch. I have a front loader washing machine that doesn't pull or twist the laundry, and I always launder sheets by themselves. So now I'm stuck with a top sheet and lots of pillow cases--what a waste of money. The ironic thing is the sheets I returned to using are another of JC Penney's brands, and I've been using them for almost 15 years!! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soft Sheets - poor quality At first I loved these sheets! Bought the gold - loved the color. Very luxurious...........felt wonderful. Plus they are nice and deep which helps with our deep mattress. However that was about 7 months ago!! They did not hold up. They became thin and almost overnight had slits on both sides - my husband's side and mine. Looking closer I realized they had wore through. I always buy my sheets from JCP. ALWAYS. I have never had this problem with their sheets. These are not cheap in price. I was very disappointed and angry. I still have sheets as spares that I bought from JCP over 10 years ago and they are in better condition than these sheets. I actually patched them used the extra material from the pillow cases........they look awful but I am holding out until I find sheets that are deep enough and match my comforter I bought that goes with them from JCP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! I bought my sheets a few years back and they have held up very well. They are soft and do not slip off the mattress. Being the only set of sheets that I have used on my bed, making them subject to regular washing and drying, there has not been a problem with shrinkage, fading or thinning. I was so impressed that I purchased a set for my son and his wife. They also only use this sheet set and subject to regular washing and drying and only recently mentioned a tear which they say was caused by the cat. I've read some of the other reviews and I wonder if the quality has changed or if those people use different laundry methods. I was hoping to buy a replacement set for my son and his wife but have not done so only because they no longer offer black. Burgundy, hunter green or gray would be nice options as well. They are bit expensive but they have lasted so I got my moneys worth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrinkle-free white queen sized sheets need ironing! Just took my queen-sized white sheets out of the package and washed them before putting them on my bed. Spoiler alert--very wrinkled! Now I'm stuck with sheets that are every bit as wrinkled as the others i own. I think "wrinkle-free" label was erroneous. I have friends and family over to stay all the time and was looking forward to the convenience of crisp sheets. Not gonna happen, so be warned. Got them on sale so the pain of my purchase doesn't go deep, but if i paid $110 for the set, i would be livid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soft but not durable I was so happy with these sheets. They are so soft and deep pockets are wonderful. But...after owning them for a year they began to wear thin at the foot of my husband's side of the bed. Now I have to replace them due to a big tear in the fitted sheet. I've never had this happen, not even with cheap sheets. Very disappointed to spend that much money for quality for it to only wear out. I love the sheets and I'm very sad they didn't last longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from so sad about two years ago i bought the studio wrinkle free sheets from JCPenney. I own a bed and breakfast so i bought about eight sets at the time. i fell in love with these sheets. they were magic. probably the best sheets i've ever bought. then about a year ago i bought more. they were not the same. they didn't fit the matress as well and the texture and fell seemed much cheaper. they were not as wrinkle free either ... but they still worked for me. last week i ordered two more sets from this 'improved' collection. i am so dissappointed. the sheets are thin. way too thin. they feel so cheap. they are rough. the hem at the top of the flat sheet and pillow case is already coming apart (after one wash). these sheets used to have a beautiful detail on the pillowcases and flat sheet now it's just a simple stitch. yes, they do not hold the 'wrinkle' as some other sheets i've tried and the 'flexfit' technology does allow the sheets to fit amazingly well. i'm going to wash these sheets once more and try them again. (i think everything deserves a second chance) if i'm still dissappointed i will be calling jcpenney to send them back. what happened to the original sheets that were so amazing and wonderful?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't someone think of this sooner! Easy to fit over mattress! I had recently purchased a "wrinkle-free" sheet set from another dept. store and paid over 3 times as much as the Studio brand from Penneys(reg. price). After wash/drying, they were so rough and WRINKLED, I returned them. Then ordered the old stand-by Studio sheets from Penneys. It had been a while since I had bought new sheets from Penneys, so when I opened the package I was surprised to see the top and bottom panels. I really thought they might be hard to put on. We have a king size bed, and I have a bad shoulder and usually have to fight a very thick (about 18+inches) mattress to get the bottom sheet to fit. NOT THIS TIME! And you can bounce a coin on the top. Perfect fit. And I do not have to fight it. NO WRINKLES! Pure luxury at 1/3 the cost. I immediately went to our local Penneys and purchased the last 3 king size sets they had for our bed, 4 more queens for our guest beds, and then ordered 3 more for Christmas gifts for family. Thanks Penneys, for having the perfect sheet set for any size and height mattress. Sometimes, the old trusted brand is still the best!

Are these 100% cotton?

Not a blend, are they 100% cotton? Not sateen?
Asked by: SLAtransplant
They are 65% cotton and 35% polyester, which is what probably makes them wrinkle free. They are soft and comfortable to the touch.

Do these sheets have the spandex ends?

I have a set of Studio Sheets that have a type of spandex on the ends. Are these the same sheets. I do not want the ones with the elastic banding.
Asked by: JustMe
Yes they do - In addition to elastic all around, it has panels at top and bottom with Spandex for better fit to mattress.

what is the difference in this product over the ultra fit; the fitted sheet. i had purchased a set about 3 yrs. ago and the fitted sheet has a thick

elastic band around it. is this the ultra fit. if so, I do have an issue with that since it is hard to unravel the sheet to get it on. i was wondering if the fit true would be better
