Rated 3 out of 5 by Jaws2 The full size option is deceiving in two ways
I don't recommend the full size one especially if room space is limited as in my son's case. The full and queen size take up the same amount of space width-wise. In fact, there is an extra foot or more of wasted space (over 6 inches on either side that sticks out), so it's common to hit your toe on the foot posts when making the bed. Also, the description doesn't say what kind of mattress to use, so I preferentially bought a mattress with boxed springs. Since the side boards are low, there is nothing to hold the mattress in place to keep it from slipping. Thus, a mattress without boxed springs would have been a better option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ttink85 I am a happy customer
I bought this bed almost one year ago. I had it delivered and set up by JCP. I have had no issues with the quality- I dust and polish the wood frame a couple of times this year and nothing is chipped or discolored. (Great right?!) I do agree with previous comments about the legs sticking out. We often smack our toes on this part- when we were in an apartment (tight spaces) We have recently moved, the bed was easy to take apart and put back together, there is also less toe smacking with the extra space we gained.
Overall, I highly recommend this product and I just bought the rest of the pieces that match the set.

I bought two of these beds in a jc penny home furniture store. First of all when I received the beds, they had a funny smell and they still smell after several months. The finish is very cheap and it chips easily. The support beams cracked about a week ago on one of the beds and I cannot fix it so I have to throw it out. I was very upset with this bedroom set. Yes, it is affordable but you are better off paying more to get something durable. The store that I bought the beds went out of business, no shock.

If you want something that looks pretty in your guest room, but is NEVER to be used, buy this bed. If you actually want to sleep in your purchase, buy something else. This queen bed does not support the weight of an average-sized couple. The first time we used it, it broke within three days. We thought perhaps we got a defective one, so we got it replaced. The second time it broke within five days. Like I said, it looks pretty, but does not function. Beware if you choose to buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JCPenneyshoper Nice modern bed
Very happy with my purchase. Was unsure of the quality due to it being such a great affordable price. The bed was delivered within a month of purchasing at home store. The movers were on time, professional and set up very quickly. Looks very nice not too bulky and my newly queen mattresses also purchased from JCPenneys fit perfectly. Like that the frame has wood slats for mattress support.

I was particularly looking for a full bed. There are plenty of full/queen beds but very few plain full beds. It is for a small room. I am replacing a twin bed. I waited weeks for it, ordered full mattresses. When I went to pick it up it was a full/queen bed. I did not accept the item. It may be a nice item but buyer needs to be aware that it is not a strict full bed.

I purchased this bed as soon as I saw it. Price and design were perfect. It does come in 3 boxes and I did get sent a wrong piece but, we are all human. I found it realtivly easy to put together. Very sturdy as we have had this bed for 6 months! The quality and value beat all deals out there.

The headboard is very pretty. It seems to be durable for the most part. It comes in 3 boxes and it is very hard to put together. The instructions that come with it leave much to be desired.
