Curtian panels should always be 2 to 2.5 times the window . For example if your window measures approx.36 you should use 2 panels , 72 4 panels .ect.ect . A good rule of thumb is 2 panels for every 36 inches. if the window is smaller than the 36 that is ok , I just use 36 as an example a good formula is window width x 2.5 = the amount of fabric you need to properly cover your window . Remember that the width measurment on a curtian panel is taken while the fabric is layed out flat. So a 54 width panel WILLNOTcover 54 inches of window .
