Rated 5 out of 5 by from reminds me a jean fabric, look great. They are like jean cotton dress pants and a heavier fabric. I bought the Dress Blue and love them, They block out the sun just fine, now this is the wow factor, what little sun light that makes it through the curtain, makes the curtain look shinny ( silk/satin) like. At night my room was like sleeping with the lights on because of the street lights. Theses curtains have made my room very very close to pitch black. I did have other so called blackout curtains up that did very little to keep the light out at night. So I can say, 100% sure, these do a great job. I also bought the Brown ones but returned them because I did not like the look, even though they r made just the same they did not have a classic feel/look like the blue. I bought on sale and I got a great curtain. I love walking into my room and seeing these curtains, they give my room a very classy, classic feel. Glad I bought a heavier curtain rod on sale for the curtains, my old ones bowed a little with them ( had only 2 on the rod at the time). So might need to buy a heavier rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make sure to... After reading the other reviews i decided to go ahead with the order. As the reviews stated, ironing was a necessity upon arrival. That's not a problem. I ordered the 'linen' color and thought, based upon what other reviewers reported, they would cut out the light from outside. Please note, these are not black-out curtains and will merely cut down on the light intrusion (in this color that is). To note: i have wood shutters on the window side of the drapes and the light is still probably around 15% when the sun rises outside my window. I DO notice substanially less heat build up when the eastern light makes it's intro to the day. For prospective purchasers: make sure one measures the panels side by side BEFORE hanging to determine if a panel is 1/2-1 inch longer than the others. If so, it's best to find this out before threading onto the rod. Murphy's Law holds that the one extra long panel will be prominently displayed in the most visible section of curtain, and if you're slightly OCD, this will not please the eye. Otherwise, i am incredibly satisfied with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product does just what it is advertised to do I ordered four of the dark brown drapes in 40" by 95" to help block light and sound and to help keep the room cooler. After hanging these drapes, I could feel a very noticeable difference in the room in terms of sound and temperature the following day. The room was much quieter and cooler despite the drapes are pulled back with tiebacks and a good portion of both windows is exposed to allow light. I have always been a fan of the supreme draperies and love that JCP offers even more up to date colors to fit today's lifestyles. The price could not be beat and comparable drapes in the same style/length were more than four times the price had I ordered these drapes from a other retailers. Everyone loves the drapes for the way they look, feel and hang. These drapes look expensive and really brought out the look and feel of the room. The only problem I had was removing the wrinkles. I had to mist the drapes with water from a spray bottle then had to use my steamer to achieve that flawlessly hung effect I wanted. This was a superb purchase and I am ordering more to complete another room in my home. I would stay away from the so called dress blue as it is almost black to midnight navy and does not look at all blue even in my well lit dining room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I have to say, I don't "review" much, but I have to let you know, at this clearance price even, these curtains are wonderful. If I had the money I would even recommend them at full price :). Shimmer as others have said, yes, slightly, and classy looking. I call them blackout. The room I put them in faces the south. We tried them up in full sunlight, and if I worked a night sift and had to sleep - oh, ya! Insulation isn't great so we needed some thing to help cold in winter and heat in summer. After we put these curtains up, we decided we have to leave a crack open over night or we won't be able to tell when it's morning!! Nice purchase. These are a nice midnight blue, and nice heaviness to them - quality. For not being a real fan of back-tabs - they are nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Purchase, Back for More! I bought 4 sets of these, 8 panels, in 3 different colors for 3 rooms. They are great! The only downfall is that the light colors do not block light well. A light shines into my bedroom and I got ivory for the room, which needs light blocking so I attached a cheap black curtain to the back of each panel and it works well. I also have spicy red and they are very, very pretty. The other color I have is Delft Blue and they are a very pretty color. I love the back tabs and the quality is just excellent.. you can buy a standard panel at WalMart for $20/per and they are not good quality!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Item not as pictured Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this item. The picture leads you to believe that the fabric is thick with a "satin" look. However, when we received the curtains in the mail they were much thinner than we expected. The color was also quite different and had more of a "cotton/twill" type texture. We ended up returning the curtains and purchasing a different set. Although I liked the price, I wouldn't recommend these curtains to someone looking for a more luxurious looking material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I normally do not purchase off the web site as I like to see,and touch.Well, being as busy as I've been I thoughtbI'd give it a try. I called J.C.P.com after browsing the web site.I ordered 6 panels enough for the 3 livingroom window and in just 3 days they were here! Took them out of the package and hung them up.They looked marvelous! No wrinkles. The color was so nice and looked better than I could've imagined. My livingroom has a fresh new look for spring.Very happy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from the drapes are not 84"! I also have had the same problem, I already have my rods installed from my last set of 84" drapes and of the 6 panels I purchased, only two are 84", the rest are ~82", they don't even touch the floor. I brought those 4 back and ordered 4 more from the catalog and they are all short also. Now I see others have had the same problem, how can they sell 84" panels that are not 84"?
