Bought it to be shelving in a bar area, matched the cabinets. Not installed yet, but happy so far.

I bought 2 sets of these a month ago. I bought the hutch top and the cabinet bottom. The price was excellent and I really love the look; however, after I put the bottom cabinet together, I noticed there was no top. I combed the JC Penny website and realized that the top needed to be purchased separately. That was not evident on the picture, and I clearly did not completely read the description. I had no issue purchasing the top, except it's no longer available. I did not want to deal with sending them back, so I found a reasonable solution. I bought a nice wooden cutting board that I will just need to cut the length to have it fit. The width is perfect. I have not done it yet; but I think it will work.

I was initially impressed with the lack of damage to the components in shipping. All pieces were painted pretty uniformly and seemed to be a quality paint. Color is more "almond" than white, so they look dirty and wrong in my kitchen. None of the seams where components are joined together are painted heavily enough to seal against moisture. MDF and moisture do not mix, so I used a clear caulk to rectify the problem after assembly. The camlock fasteners caused the paint to crack/split upon tightening the fasteners (more caulk). One drawer pull was too long to allow the screw to tighten sufficiently, causing the handle to flop around loosely. These units look like doll house furniture when stacked singly, which I did in my kitchen because of a lack of wall space. When they are used two-abreast, they lose that look. The MDF is too porous and coarse for screws that are less than 3/4" long. You will find many of the screws that are meant to attach the back panel, will strip the MDF. Longer screws in these locations should help.

Thought as my husband put this together that it looked very nice until we realized the drawyer had no top to it. We also bought the hutch that went with it and it had no bottom. Sent back.

I bought this not knowing what to expect, but I'm very happy. It has given my kitchen a secret home for trash and recyclables. It made the kitchen look much cleaner. The color really is off white. Would be better if it had a more sophisticated close on the cabinet. But that isn't a dealbreaker. Worst is that it doesn't come with the bins and it took me three trips to the store to find the right size.

Had one of these for 10 years , was wonderful! Daily wear & tear just got to it. The new one seems sturdier. It is a little larger too. Kind of difficult to put together though. Very pleased with it!

No problem assembling and I am a 79 young widow who just 2 years ago found out how to use my hubby's (married 58-1/2 when he passed) tools. Modular Kitchen Trash Bin. I have ordered a bin from you in the past. The last one was much better, I had it for many years and it is what I am replacing now. This new one is okay, but I don't like that it doesn't have a top drawer like my old one. (Like to put my new trash bags there, perfect size) It doesn't fit as large of trash can. My other one fit a 13 gallon can, but not this one. Also I had to buy the top separately, really!?!?! That was kind of annoying. So it will fit my purpose, but the old one you used to sell is a much better choice.
