Rated 4 out of 5 by trainer4animals exactly what I needed
It was easy enough to put together...would be easier with 2 people though. It's a nice size, so far pretty sturdy & the brown is as shown. I wish there were more choices for colors but that's about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by WainLucy Nice hutch
When putting the back on this product with the provided screws, the particle board cracked. Not very durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WainLucy This product has no top
Overall, this cabinet is nice however, I had no idea when ordering it, there would be no top. I had to buy a butcher block and wood glue it on so we could then glue the hutch on top. I would not buy this again.

Bought it to be shelving in a bar area, matched the cabinets. Not installed yet, but happy so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SandyinTwin Missing a very important piece
I bought 2 sets of these a month ago. I bought the hutch top and the cabinet bottom. The price was excellent and I really love the look; however, after I put the bottom cabinet together, I noticed there was no top. I combed the JC Penny website and realized that the top needed to be purchased separately. That was not evident on the picture, and I clearly did not completely read the description. I had no issue purchasing the top, except it's no longer available. I did not want to deal with sending them back, so I found a reasonable solution. I bought a nice wooden cutting board that I will just need to cut the length to have it fit. The width is perfect. I have not done it yet; but I think it will work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CHRISBROWN Poor-quality construction methods
I was initially impressed with the lack of damage to the components in shipping. All pieces were painted pretty uniformly and seemed to be a quality paint. Color is more "almond" than white, so they look dirty and wrong in my kitchen. None of the seams where components are joined together are painted heavily enough to seal against moisture. MDF and moisture do not mix, so I used a clear caulk to rectify the problem after assembly. The camlock fasteners caused the paint to crack/split upon tightening the fasteners (more caulk). One drawer pull was too long to allow the screw to tighten sufficiently, causing the handle to flop around loosely. These units look like doll house furniture when stacked singly, which I did in my kitchen because of a lack of wall space. When they are used two-abreast, they lose that look. The MDF is too porous and coarse for screws that are less than 3/4" long. You will find many of the screws that are meant to attach the back panel, will strip the MDF. Longer screws in these locations should help.

Thought as my husband put this together that it looked very nice until we realized the drawyer had no top to it. We also bought the hutch that went with it and it had no bottom. Sent back.
