Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value We needed new furniture by did not have thousands to spend. We are very happy with our new sofa, loveseat, and chair. They look fantastic. We have kids and dogs, and after several months the furniture still looks great, pet hair doesn't stick to it. I had to spot clean one area of dirt from my daughter's shoe, and it came right out. The slipcovers are really nice, but hard to get on and off, so don't plan to take them off often for washing. The seat cushions are firm, which we love. They are very comfortable, but you don't "sink" into them. We have only had the furniture for a few months, so I can't speak to durability yet, but I think the firmness of the seat cushions means they will be a lot more durable. They seem to be softening up a bit the more we sit on them, which is nice. Each piece is heavy and feels solidly made. My one caution is the ottoman -- it is light as a feather and feels very cheap. So you might want to pass on that one piece. But the other pieces are great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I purchased this sofa 2 years ago and after only a year and a half, the center of the sofa was sagging so low that 2 inches of the slipcover is dragging on the floor. It is very noticeable that the center is dipping down and it looks like the frame is either broken or the wood is poor quality and is bowing in the center. I have bought several sofas over the last 10 years that are even less expensive than this one, and none of them have performed this poorly. I informed the store that I believe this sofa to be defective and they would not repair or replace it even though there is no reason for the damage it is showing. Another thing to note if considering buying this sofa is the slipcovers are dry clean only. The purpose of the slipcovered sofa is that you can wash them easily and keep them clean with kids. I don't recommend this sofa because of the quality and also the lack of response when I called and requested someone to come look at it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty to look at but cushions don't provide longevity I had looked at a number of stores and websites, prior to purchasing this sofa and chair last April. I settled on this set during a sale as I loved the overall look of the set and for the most part, the reviews were good and the price, at least on sale was reasonable. I did however notice a few reviews recently that indicated what I have found to be the case with respect to the cushions. They simply don't hold up, and I am not talking about furniture that get's daily use. After less than a year the cushions in the back have "deflated" for lack of a better word and I've taken to stuffing them with dacron fiber, but even with that they continue to look...well "flat". The seat cushions you can't "stuff", but I am a "flipper". I flip the seat cushions around pretty much weekly. Still, they look fairly flat. So at this point am attempting to see what the store can do with the manufacturer with respect to replacing the cushions or not. Thus far I've been advised they can't find a # for the mfg which is overseas. Saga to continue. We'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ahhhhh.....Soooooo Comfortable The Linden Street Friday collection is so comfortable! I practically furnished my entire family room with Linden Street furniture a couple of years ago and couldn't be more pleased! I purchased the Friday sofa and loveseat in Butter and the chair and a half and matching ottoman in Denim. Like other reviewers have mentioned the back cushions sag, but I have a small dog that has set up residence on the back of the love seat and two cats like to lounge on the back of the sofa, so I guess that is to be expected. I purchased the leather recliner (kind of stiff....but doesn't get a lot of use), coffee table, end table, chair side table, sofa table and apothecary chest, and an area rug, runner and door mat by Linden Street as well. All in all it seems to have held up pretty well. I would love to try to remove the covers from the cushions and wash them but I'm afraid that I might ruin them and then not be able to replace them as they don't seem to carry them anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth It This sofa is such a disappointment. The delivery guys JUST left. I can't stop staring at my two new sofas, and not for a good reason. The slipcovers don't fit. They're tugging on every corner worse than clothes do after the holidays. The dust-ruffles don't come close to touching the floor which leaves really awkward legs showing. Some of the back cushions are too small for their covers, leaving saggy spaces. Some of the seat cushions are too big for their covers, causing the cushions to fold in and not sit properly. One of the sofas is COVERED in marks and wrinkles. Maybe it was returned by someone who experienced the same sick feeling in the pit of their stomach when it arrived. Maybe they could justify the high restocking fee. On a positive side, the color is nice. I purchased two of these sofas in hopes that they would be something I could enjoy for years to come. Unfortunately, I can't wait for the day that I can get them out of my face. Don't make the same mistake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent It has been about 18 mos. since my purchase of this sofa. I bought the natural twill and a set of the velvet slipcovers. I have washed the twill covers once (I have large dogs, that are not allow up on the sofa, but dogs like to lay on the floor with their backs against it, and it can get dirty). They washed up great! You have to put them back on while damp because they are a fitted cover. Which can take some time. But once you get the hang of it...it gets easier. The durability of a single persons use has been outstanding. I only say that because I am certain a family is a bit more rough on a sofa. I plan to wash and replace with the velvet for the fall/winter. I really like the length and depth of this sofa, as I am 6 feet, and it is great for Sat. and Sun. naps. Cushions are still firm yet cozy. I am not finding twill replacement covers, I hope that does not become a problem. I bought this sofa because you can replace and change out covers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still holding up! We purchased the Friday sofa during a great sale nearly 2 years ago. In my opinion, it is holding up beautifully given 2 adults, our 11-year-old daughter, her friends, and 3 cats use it--and we don't exactly live carefully. The loden is the perfect color for (temporarily) hiding fur and stains. The seat is firm. I find this to be perfect for me bc/of chronic back pain. I can sleep on this sofa, too. The seat depth is better than average; I ruled out similar sofas bc/they were too shallow. Yes, the back cushions do sag. After all, my 2 enormous cats sit on them. Comparably styled sofas do the same thing. If the back cushions were firmer, they would detract from their comfort. Our cats have started to shred one arm of the slipcover. Otherwise, the twill resists pulls quite well. I just wish the replacement slipcovers were in stock! Even at the current price, I consider this sofa a very good buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slipcovers too small Just purchased this sofa and slipcovers needed to be returned because they were too small for the sofa frame and bowed in the back. The sofa came with slipcover on. When new covers were delivered, the two delivery men had a very difficult time putting the covers on. I looked at the cushion covers and they were about half the size of the cushion. The guys really struggled with the covers. They had to tip the sofa over and struggled to zip the back. When they left the sofa looked like a stuffed sausage - not like a loose fitting slipcover and the cover was all pulled and the seams all strained like they would pop at any minute. No way could I ever take these off to have them cleaned and get back on! The sofa is going back. What a waste because if they made the slipcovers to fit...the sofa would really be quite beautiful.

What are the Friday Linden Street slipcovers made of and are they washable?

Also, I have read in comments that they are really hard to put on. Do you know if this is correct?
Asked by: bwhee
I own this furniture and it is correct. The slip covers are very difficult to put on. I'm afraid to wash them because if they shrink, it will be impossible to put them back on. I have a complaint about the quality of the cushions. They have compressed to half their original size and are very uncomfortable. Feathers are always poking through the fabric and scratching us. I wish I had never bought this furniture.

Can you give suggestions for replacing the covers once they've been dry cleaned. Very, very difficult to get the body piece on. Help?

Asked by: DeeDee
What has worked for me is to machine wash and only partially dry the slipcovers. When they are damp they have stretch and can be zipped (with a bit of pulling them together from each side). I'd recommend spraying yours to dampen or throw them in the wash.

How deep is the actual seat cushion on the sofa?

Asked by: nikolito
I own this furniture but the depth of the seat isn't the problem. Actually I find them too deep. I am 5' 5" and when I sit back on the chair and sofa, my legs can't bend at the knee to reach the floor. I feel like a child sitting there. My complaint is with the cushions compressing down to half their original size. It's very uncomfortable too. Feathers are always poking through the fabric and scratching us. I wish I had never bought this furniture.

Can the entire slipcover be removed including the pillows? If so, is it machine washable? Are all cushions and back pillows loose?

Asked by: Gigi
Yes to every question! You can remove all of the slipcovers. All cushions and pillows are loose. I have machine washed mine multiple times, but I don't know if that's what they recommend. I only know it has worked for me and hasn't degraded the color or shape of the slipcover; however, do not completely dry the main piece or it is a mother bear to put back on. Put the slipcover on damp, so you have stretch. Awesome sofa.

I'm having a hard time deciding between purchasing the chair and a half or the loveseat to go with the sofa. The chair and a half would fit more comfortably in my living room but I am wondering if it would seat two people?
Asked by: LKinAK
It can sit two little kids or a couple [you'd have to want to sit very, very close to the other person] We have both the chair and the loveseat and the loveseat definitely allows for very roomy seating for two people, but we do love the chair and a half
