Let me start by saying-I love Calphalon and I trust their products. We purchased several Calphalon pots and pans when we were first married 11 years ago and I am STILL using them because they still perform well (and I'm an active cook!). As our family has expanded and the holidays are all celebrated at our house, I needed something that would allow me to cook larger quantities of food. This roaster set has it all. The rack works great for everything from a small chicken to a 20 lb turkey (!). It allows the heat to
circulate the meat for even cooking and makes room in the bottom of the pan for vegetables. The lifters made it easy for me to place the bird onto a platter. Then I put the pan on my stovetop (covering 2 burners) and made a gravy right there without having to get out a separate pan! And cleanup was a breeze because of the non-stick surface. I used to have to let my old roasting pan sit in the sink soaking overnight (or longer) to get everything off but it was not a problem with this pan. Love it! Highly recommend.

I bought this pan to roast a medium turkey for Christmas and it worked perfectly for a 16 lbs one and had space for more. It performed and cleaned up easily. They provided a baster / injector, non-stick rack and steel turkey lifters with sharp points. It is my understanding that one should not use sharp tipped steel tools with non-stick surfaces, so that was a bit of a head scratcher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by xvegan My First Pork Loin Roast-Fall Down Good!
"Fall Down Good" is a phrase my 8 year old and I have had for years to show that something is so good that you just have to fall down!
The Calphalon Roaster is our new Fall Down Good ticket to a tender, moist, first-time-I-ever cooked-one-Pork Loin Roast!
I know the pan size may seem like overkill for such an item, but I figured all the great features might apply to a smaller item too-and they do!
Using a recipe as a launching point from a Kathy Maister blog on How-to-Cook-a-Pork-Roast, I made a coconut oil and spice rub for top and bottom and poked garlic clove halves in the ends.
Although this roast was so perfect that it did not need any, I finished it off with some gluten free coconut milk gravy just to give the pan a spin at stovetop use on my glass top stove.
Everything washed up quickly and completely.
The hard anodized, non stick Calphalon Roaster feels sturdy- both the pan and the handles. The meat lifters are very sharp and flat on the ends like a knife-a bonus detail although I haven't tested them on a big bird yet.
As a newbie Calphalon user, I am thrilled with the results and on the lookout for the next pan upgrade.

I LOVE the roasting pan. I used it to prepare two large roasts for company. I put the roasts in the pan and browned them on the stove top, then placed the pan in the oven and finished them. They cooked beautifully. I removed the roasts and made gravy on the stove top in the pan with the drippings! One pan--3 steps! Clean up was a breeze! I've never made a roast and had clean up so easy. I love this new pan. I did chicken in it too--easy clean up. I'm looking forward to doing a turkey sometime in the near future so that I can use the rack that comes with it. What a versatile great piece of cookware! My only negative comment would be watch out for the handles after you take the pan out of the oven--they are really hot and easy to bump. BUT that would not keep me from using this pan! Thank you Calphalon!

I love roasting turkey, and not just at Thanksgiving! It's a wonderful way to treat your family to a holiday-like feast without all the added stress and chaos of real holidays! I have been aching for a roaster for a long time, and for years, I've been using those disposable metal foil pans - and it showed. I got excellent results with the Calphalon roaster - which cooked the meat thoroughly and consistently. The turkey skin was crisp and delicious on the outside, and the meat tender and juicy on the inside - even the WHITE meat - and you all know how hard THAT is to do! The best part was the clean-up - no mess, no scraping down the pan with a hard edge, and no waste with the disposables - the Calphalon pan is very sturdy and I'm sure will endure decades of heavy use!

I still have a smaller nonstick roasting pan from Williams Sonoma but I like this one better. It has perfect dimensions - big enough but not too big. The surface is amazingly easy to clean. I have made a slow roasted pork and a roasted chicken. Clean-up after both meals did not require any elbow grease, just a simple sweep of the sponge. The pork cooks for over 5 hours so that was great! My WS roaster has scrapes in the nonstick surface from me having to work so hard to get the stuck on stuff off. I also really like the handles because they are big enough to allow me to use my silicone oven mitts to get the pan back in the oven. The only thing that I didn't like so much was the smell of the pan-it had an offgas type smell. I'm sure it will go away though.
