Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Small Appliance Before I bought this immersion blender, any time I wanted to puree anything - it had to go into the blender or the food processor. This works ok with some things - but other things - especially hot soup - it does not work well. The soup will leak out of the food processor - and the blender has to be done in small batches. Not so with this immersion blender. And - the best part is - there is MUCH less clean up using a immersion blender than either of the two appliances listed above. I love my immersion blender. Rated 5 out of 5 by More features than I expected The blender was way beyond my expectations. You can tell by looking at it how durable it is and was such a good buy. I want to order some of the extras that you can use with it. December 31, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good appliance We've had this since Christmas, and used it several times to make soups. it's definitely a step up from tipping the whole contents of the pot, a bit at a time, into the blender. Cleaning is a little complicated if you don't have some sort of brush with long bristles, perhaps in combination with a toothbrush. Of course, in many cases, depending on what you've blended, you can just rinse it off right away afterward and no problem. If there's any grease, however, you need brushes to get in behind the blade. The other slightly annoying thing – but this has nothing to do with the product itself – is that KitchenAid's website allows you to sign up for an online account and register the item right away, but then when you check your account, the registered product does not show up as registered for several days. I didn't find any indication on the website that I should expect a delay, so I ended up mailing in the paper product registration form as well. So kind of a waste of a stamp and some extra effort. Rated 5 out of 5 by Love My KitchenAid Products I recently ordered a KitchenAid 2-Speed Blender and I love it. I use it for making soap. In case you are not familiar, immersion blenders are what soap makers use to blend oils with lye. KitchenAid products do cost a little more, but are well worth it because they are made to last, very durable and I have been happy with their products. July 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by First time user of a hand blender Awesome! Well built! Powerful! Crushes ice in sec. July 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Empire Red 2 Speed Hand Blender by KitchenAid Love my new KitchenAid 2 speed hand blender. First time I used it 04/16/16 bought it 12/21/15 and it made the best instant pudding I ever had and pancakes. The cord isn't long enough, to reach from the outlet, to where I need to use it. Not easy to clean. It is easy to use and fast. I want to be able to purchase attachments that fit my "Empire Red" KitchenAid 2 speed hand blender and other counter top appliances. April 15, 2016
