Rated 1 out of 5 by from The stainless bowl is inferior The stainless steel bowl pops out of the base while the mixer is in use. Spoke with representative from KitchenAid last week who was very defensive. They are aware of the issue and have been for several months, yet they have no solution. The bowl is outsourced and manufactured in India. Per the rep. it may be the quality of metal being used. Representative had no idea when this would be corrected. How about making the 5 quart bowl in the US until the problem is corrected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bowl Bought this bowl for my daughter. We bake a lot and instead of having to wash the bowls so much we wanted to have at least two bowl so we can keep thing moving along. This bowl is great for that. It fix her mixer, goes in and out smoothly and fits in with our routine fabulously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic This bowl is a kitchen staple. I often alternate between the 5qt glass bowl and the stainless steel depending on the recipe. The stainless steel bowl is a must have I couldn't do without.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Capacity I absolutely love my KitchenAid stand mixer and this bowl is the perfect size for doubling many of my favorite recipes. I'm only giving it 4 stars since its missing a feature I wish it had, which is a pour spout. The glass and porcelain bowls have them, but they are too heavy once filled with a double recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mixer I purchased my Kitchen Aid mixer in 1989. I use it 2 to 3 times a week since I bought it. The only problem I ever had was pouring hot food from the mixing bowl. I am now 73 and saw your replacement bowl with the handle and purchased it. I love it not only for the safety feature but for the ease of pouring it provides. Your products are indestructible. I should know after 24 years of constant use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Batter left with gray residue I bought the Aetisan mixer for my daughter at Christmas. She asked me why her batter had gray spots and I couldn't answer that one. I'm visiting and made pie crust with the same results. An Internet search came up with many complaints about a residue KA says is from finishing the bowl. KA recommends cleaning the bowl with salt and lemon juice or a baking soda paste or Barkeepers Friend. I tried the first two without good results. Frankly, I've never heard of this in quality cookware and my old Kitchenaid has never stained the food. Her paddle is ceramic so it's the bowl. I considered a glass replacement but they seem to shatter easily. So, thumbs down and buy beware.
