I had owned a grind and brew coffee maker from this brand before but sadly it wore out after several years, I thought I would get another of the same brand. It has been changed quite a bit since I bought the other one. This one is a pain!!!
I dont mind the time it takes to set it up each time but the bean holder pops up evey time. I have to hold it down to keep it inplace evey time I make a pot of coffee. The ground coffee gets stuck in the tunnel going fron the grinder to the basket and has to cleaned out every time. The grounds are ground so finely that while I am holding the bean holder down each time I can see dust sifting out from the coffee maker. I would return it but it worked the first 3 or 4 days so I thru the box out.

I've had this grind and brew for four months so far and my family loves it. I haven't had any problems with the use or cleaning. You absolutely need to read instructions first and follow them or watch the DVD that comes with it or the video online at Cuisinart. The cleaning is not difficult at all. The chute gets cleaned out once every week or two which if you do it correctly takes less than a few minutes. This may need to be done more often during the times you use beans that are oily, because the grinds could get stuck and block the chute. I haven't had it happen yet!
Everyone in my family likes a different strength coffee, so it's used 2 or 3 times in the morning. It has three brew strengths mild, medium and strong. I tend to like more mild so I just add more water than the normal amounts listed. The grinder can be set at intervals of 2, 4, 6, (etc) cups and is somewhat loud, but it is a grinder after all and it's finished quickly. The coffee maker itself is quiet and gives off soft beeps when it's finished brewing. I have used pre-ground coffee also and it tastes fine too. My model is the DGB-700BC with the glass carafe. Coffee is gone quickly in my home so this suits us. All in all, I'm in love with this machine and would recommend it to any coffee lover that doesn't mind adding a few small steps to the process. It's worth it!

This coffeemaker is an awesome upgrade to the one we had. Love that I can make 12 cups of coffee, and that I can fill the hopper with beans and select how many to grind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by revbwright Great Product. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to take their coffee experience to a higher leve.
After using the regular "drip coffee makers" this product is so good. I like a robust flavor that comes only with freshly ground goffee beans. average maintenance is all that is required. a little more care/maintenance that the standard coffee maker, but you get so much more. Excellent product.

I am not real sure the thurmos coffee pot is the correct thing for most users. If they use the coffee quickly , probably ok.
but coffee has to be reheated after A short period of time.
I would not recommend this for all day coffee drinkers.

This was one of the best buys we have made in coffee brewers. I love how there is a reservoir for more than the needed amount of beans and that you can select any amount from 2 to 12 cups and grinder will only grind the necessary amount of beans.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bbjood The one I purchased was defective
I was so dissapointed when I had to return my coffee maker for full refund as it was still under warranty. It just stopped making coffee. I was diligent about cleaning out the hopper and then one day nothing just hot water. So dissapointed.
