Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer The Perfect above entry level Coffee Maker
We looked at many of the entry level coffee makers on the market and decided to go with the DeLonghi EC702 Espresso Maker from JC Penney.
It has a great look about it as it sits on the counter top, it makes cafe style coffee with little problem, the fun thing about this is getting the Froth right, my wife nailed it on her first attempt, me on the otherhand, it took several attempts, but all in all, l would reccomend this unit to anyone who wants a little bit of luxury in the kitchen and save a lot of $$$ instead of venturing down to your local coffee shop every other day.
Find a good local coffee bean supplier and have then grind the coffee to your prefered style ( its cheaper than purchasing a grinder ) and test the flavours until you find your perfect blend.
JC Penney , great price, great unit DeLonghi, how about coffee cups with your logo, there's an idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vafmere Excellent Espresso Machine
I got this a week ago and am having a hard time not making espresso every other hour while I'm home. And the picture is not misleading, it can make two shots at once, and also has a single shot holder if you'd wish. I was worried about that when ordering since the price seemed too good to be true. Had a friend who has been a barista for over ten years explain how to use it for me and pretty much everything she said was in the instructions it comes with anyways! Brewed a perfect double shot the first time with Crema and all. Super easy to use, heats up faster than it says, and I'm looking forward to making more complicated drinks than cappucino after cappucino(btw those come out perfect too, the steamer/milk frother is easy to use as well and cleans in a cinch#. So glad I made this small investment#not buying the cheaper ones) as my friend said it was higher quality than the one she's used at home a couple years. This should pay back itself fast since I frequent coffee shops and am forever irritated with how over=hot and over sugary the drinks are. The spill tray comes apart into two pieces and comes off the machine for really easy cleaning, even goes back together as simply, just like the two parts of the steamer/frother. Also the tray up top is well heated and is great to use when making several drinks for friends and family. I hope this is poorly written enough that others know it's not a fake review, and I should say I haven't had it long enough to know about its durability. But just from its quality and what my friend said I have little doubt it will last a long time with proper care and lack of abuse just like any machine/electronic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MartaS Great espresso!
This purchase was a Christmas gift for my son who asked specifically for this model. His comments are it could have a sturdier base, but it makes wonderful espresso. We purchased it during a holiday sale period, so the price/value was better than usual. I'm not sure I would buy it at full price.

After my Starbucks Barista espresso machine broke I purchased this. This is for beginners for sure. Everything is plastic. It takes forever to heat up. You have no control over steaming. The shots were uneven. The portafilter is cheesy. Not happy. I miss my Barista :(

It's not worth the time I have to spend to get an espresso which is not as thick as expected.
